Say Tri Pl Et. Say it rhythmically. That's what a triplet is. Let's try dotted again in another way.Satasha wrote:Devon, I think I understand your explaination of triplets but not dotted.
A dotted note is any note 1.5 times longer. So a dotted quarter note would be played for the length it would take for a quarter and an 8th note, or the time it would take to play 3 8th notes consecutively. If you check out a delay that has like 1/8T or 1/8D for the delay, you'll actually be able to hear what I'm talking about more easily.

TC, you know that OT are touring the US ? Tour dates can be found at http://www.rubbishrecords.co.uk/tconrardy wrote:I got the concert DVD from PongMasters ball...fantastic!
As far as I remember live Ed is using an old Roland tape delay for the guitar.
It was realy fun to watch the mixing-man at a gig.
He was very busy fading in and out the delay and reverb on the tracks.
It's about time for the past to end

if you have delay that you can type time into
you may try calculating how long is let's say 1/16
and multiplying it by some random (
)prime number, like 3,7,11.
repeat the operation for each delay tap.
works best with x-delays

HOLY OZRICS! I might try to go. I have a friend I go to concerts with. Might be fun. It's at the Fillmore in SF. Standing admission only however. Guess if you just sniff the air, you can stand that long

Funny thing: I first heard of the Ozrics when I was at a Yes concert, and the guy sitting next to me happened to be into electronic music as well. He told me about them. He had to write the name down, because I would have never memorized it. Went to Amazon and got one of thier older CD's. Need to get more now. Is the new CD anygood? Guess I will hear it at the concert!
