Can anyone tell me if the stock audio on a 12" 1.33Ghz Powerbook is usable at reasonable latency - say 6ms or 12ms tops - without pops & clicks once the cpu gets a bit taxed ? I will be running Ableton Live, Tracktion and maybe SX or Logic.

Built-in audio under OS9 has a fixed latency of 11ms. Under OSX you can get well below that without any clicks - if you ask me anyway. OSX is *very* tight when it comes to audio.
