Totally agree. I think the list is of all the equipment EVER used at Nemo Studio, not the equipment used specifically in Blade Runner.

It's like with JM Jarre. I can't stand his music for 5 seconds, but there was a video where he has been giving a guided tour through his gear, which was real fun to watch. Well, honestly, if I had the dough, I'd probably buy all that gear too and once you've got it, you will insert a pluck from every piece in a track, you know, just to try it out...

JMJ didn't work like that, at least in the old days, and he had not that much equipment then, either.

And neither do Vangelis, at least based on what Keith Spencer-Allen told in an interview I read (Keith was the main engineer for many Vangelis albums, and started working with him at Nemo Studio right after the launching of Heaven & Hell. To his credits, he has Albedo 0.39, Spiral, China, Beaubourg, La Fête Sauvage, Opéra Sauvage, Odes and others.

So, it's not a matter of having the gear, but of how they used it. Nowadays, anybody can access much more gear than they ever had (counting with software), have much better tools for recording and producing, and yet, I don't see anything better coming out.

Present days are great, because some talented individuals can express themselves in ways that were out of reach before, especially if you were out of the mainstream. On the others hand, the same opportunity has been given to millions who may be not so much gifted.
Concerning Jarre and Vangelis, I don't know squat about them, except that I don't get their music, but I envy the gear list.
