Finally I can post my music without having to do so at Sectionz. I don't know how many people have said they do not want to be a member at the Z and it has always been a hassel to download unless your a member.

I have been uploading my latest material at Iuma today so if anybody did not get the last 3 tunes they are here:

http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3gen ... o_Room.mp3

http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3gen ... ranger.mp3

http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3gen ... Circus.mp3

Happy I am now! :)

The message boards at IUMA have been pretty amusing. Most of them are "Dude! When's the server going to be back up?"

Their response?

*tumbleweeds*

Well Bruce,guess what?

It`s 11:23pm and can`t stream or even dload from any of those links!

The dload starts at about 6kb/s and drops off to a disconnect.

EDIT: Did finally get the No Rooms dloaded.
Sounds Great...listening as I write..........Love it!
Listening on phones,as I can`t help but critisize one thing...to improve the overall clarity of the lower pads,i`d suggest cutting the lower/harmonic freqs off the sequenced synth track. That should improve clarity of your low pads. (I can hear how the seqr synth is smearing the pads. It`s fine now,but better if you cut those freqs out and leave just what needs to be heard in. 8) )

It's working here, but very slow, about 5kbs.

Must be Iuma is now inundated with traffic since they were down for so long too many people are trying to upload new music  Unless their maintenance needs maintenance. :-o  :x
Oh well, life in the internet lane, full of potholes.

You people are spoilt. That's almost twice what I get on a good day. If my d'l speed is over 3, it almost brings tears to my eyes.

Stupid dial-up :x

Time to get out the old green and start to make my own website. finding a decent free site to host your music is getting scarce. Anybody hear of Neosurge.com? looks promising.

Damn!!! That wash near the end of what sounds like the cold wind blowing loss papers around in a darkened alley at 3:00 in the morn...is a freaking GREAT wash texture!!!Hip hip hurry!!

That is the Ion and playing with the two mod wheels you can get some strange sounds from running the two together. neat trick. of course the patch had that already set up. I did not know it would do that. :)

Post

Just another thought...yeah,I know. :-o

If you could mic the sound of crackling/crunching paper, and insert it in with the cold alley wind...well,it would be a cool effect since the wind is a low muffled sound ,the crackling paper sound,at the crisp high end,it could really set off that mood! 8)

Tell `ya what...I have a real crisp mic...I`ll record a small file for you to try out.

sounds like a neat Idea. will try to do that. Maybe put it into a sampler and run it in the same midi track and have it follow it and do some tricky panning with it. Thanks for the tip Barry. 8)

hehe, can`t take all the credit for that idea unfortunally.
Joe Zawinul originally did that on a cut on his 3rd solo recording just called "Zawinul"cut called"arriving in new york"...how appropriate, hehe.

I`ll just record the paper as I listen to your howling wind in your cut.You do the rest!
