I didn't read all the responses so I don't know what's been suggested, but I use:
MFlanger for straightforward stuff (it can get very out there also especially if you upgrade your free bundle to gain access to all the deeper editing)
Waves Metaflanger for digital weirdness
Valhalla übermod for smooth flanging
That generally covers my needs.

Still hunting, though I've become very satisfied with a great phaser effect (Fazortan) for now. How much is the Uhbik flanger? I don't see a store on u-he's site.blackflag wrote:I've tried pretty much every flanger plugin. Uhbik flanger is the best sounding in my opinion.
I didn't care for the Blue Cat flanger. Looking into some of the others mentioned above.

UHBIK you have to buy all the u-he effects together in the bundle. http://www.u-he.com/cms/uhbik price is at the side.

That's a bummer to see that. Not paying $149 for a flanger.Kaboom75 wrote:UHBIK you have to buy all the u-he effects together in the bundle. http://www.u-he.com/cms/uhbik price is at the side.
FWIW, I do like the sound of the Waves MetaFlanger, but the LFO sync options aren't very good. That's the main reason why I don't like that as an option. I need something that can do 4 or even as high as 8 bar sweeps.

I wonder what happened to SoundToys' mooted FlangeThing.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Soundtoys said in an interview they will only start on one if enough people ask for one.

I do still lust after the Bel BF20 in software form.
