Sorry, this topic probably doesn't fit 100% here, but I didn't know where else to post as I'm not in a dedicated forum for these kind of things...

So I bought a media player for my cellphone (Nokia C1-02, yeah, it's an old Java based phone), and the dev sent me .wml link to which I should connect with my cellphone and enter a name / password for downloading the player directly to my phone.

But thing is, I usually don't go to the internet with this phone at all because I don't have a flatrate for it.

So I'd rather download the player to my PC and transfer it manually from there to my phone.

Is this possible somehow ?

(In the mail the dev did offer a download to PC on request which I did but no reply so far, it's been a while already).

Thanks.

It's a WAP link, specifically for mobile devices (I thought it was extinct by now). If you use Chrome, try something like this: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... fdkcfpdodb

Here's a WAP browser for Windows: http://www.winwap.com/desktop_applicati ... indows.php
Wonder whether my advice worth a penny? Check my music at Soundcloud and decide for yourself.

Thanks.

Downloading from a emulated PC WAP browser didn't work somehow but I remembered that I had set up an IDE with a phone emulator anyway (for some Java dabbling) and downloading via this worked.

But transferring to my real phone didn't (obviously because the dev built in some copy protection or so).

Oh well, the 'good' thing is it was only a few €.
