i`d like to get myself a mixer for rehearse and maybe playing live.

i just need to mix my laptop(through wich i play midi), mini-disk, voice, and sometimes a guitar and a bass.
i have so far no hardware fx (like compressor, reverb) and i`m thinking about getting the behringer eurorack ub 1204fx-pro.

can anybody tell me something about the quality of the built-in fx? would i do better with a mixer and a seperate multi-fx?

i`m sure i would get better results with buying high-class fx seperately, but as i only need a tiny mixer with some fx...
and of course don`t have the money for more :)

thanks for your help

I have that mixer
To be honnest the mixer is ok, but the effects suck :x
SO my advise is, by smaller one without the effects :)

Hope this helps,

thank you for sharing your experience with that mixer, bucodi. i think this helped me to go
for the fx-less mixer.

I was looking at the exact same mixer. I too need some FX, especially compression and reverb. my budget is non-existant so i gravitate toward the budget type stuff obviously. I appreciate the advice bucodi, but that sux.

I was also looking at some alesis mixers too, but i think i will go with one of the cheap mackies. http://www.mackie.com/products/dfx6/ -$189 6 channel

No compression, oh well. I'll have to get one later.
