folder location persistence

here's the scenario. I start a project, I add a synth, I load a bank of presets. I navigate to that folder.

I add fx, I want to load a preset bank, again, I need to navigate to that folder from where the system left off.

I add a other synth. I need to navigate to that folder's preset bank.
I add a sampler player. I need to navigate to the sample folder.
again and again.

when i'm fist slapping together a project, I spend a lot of time mousing around in my folders structure.

can't plugs individually keep track of their last folder accessed and go there again on load request?

am I missing some global setting. It's a nit, but I don't see why it's always necessary to navigate from where my global system's last folder.
