On Win 64-bit it is in the subkeys of
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\CK_VST
and
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3054760217-148792537-1869414313-1000\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\CK_VST
Theoretically changing one changes automatically the other, indifferently. Therefore only the first (easier to remember) is important.

Heres the 32/64bit set then.
(We dont want the data in VirtualStore, so theyre going in the 'real' registry.)
Also since the old set would only be good for Vista+, ive also changed the version line so the files can be used on WinXP as well.
Read included Info.txt for infos/instructions.

Just started looking at programming this beast of a synth! Wow is all I can say - I think this time most entries will be last minute as there's a lot of sound design to do let alone compose a piece!
Got to decide now whether to continue on the "electronica" path for a bit, or on to something else
Would like to create a piece to reflect the awesomeness of the synth though ...

OK, embarassing question here, but I've been at this for a while now, and I have found no way to load or save patches, and this doesn't seem to be covered in the manual at all.
Really working hard at this one since I'm finding this synth to be versatile, but rather opaque. I had to fight my ass off to FINALLY make something like a drum sound, but even that is being modulated slightly so hits sound a little different over time, and I can't find the mod source ANYWHERE to stomp it out... haha is anyone else really struggling with this beast??

It's VST2.4 so your Music Host program should have options to load/save .fxp or .fxb preset filesjlanthier wrote:OK, embarassing question here, but I've been at this for a while now, and I have found no way to load or save patches, and this doesn't seem to be covered in the manual at all.Chris-S wrote:Some Flexoid patches for inspiration:

In some Music programs they are well hidden e.g. FL_Studio
But most have the options above the VST in the window.
So, Load/Save presets depends on which Music program you are using.
As for 'modulation' - it depends what you mean. In Flexoid all the modulators are located at their destination areas i.e. Oscillator mods, Filter Mods - you choose the modulator and set the depth.
The Oscillators also have 'Analogue Drift' emulation which changes the pitch of the oscilltors over time just like real old analogue ones - you can set this to off.(zero depth)
Another factor that affects things like Drum sounds is 'Note-On Sync' Each oscillator has a 'Sync' option - set it to 'Note' this ensures the oscillators start at the same Phase for every note. Be sure to set it for all Osc's
'Free' sync mode emulates old analogue synths where the oscillators begin at whatever phase/cycle they are at when the note is played.

welcome to the club.jlanthier wrote:Chris-S wrote:Some Flexoid patches for inspiration:

i mean the soundengine of this synth and its fundamental sonic capabilities are really way higher than any of the previous synths used in OSC, so i'm really enjoying flexoid for that matter.
the relationship between me and the GUI however could be better and i fear it won't improve much anymore
it feels a bit cluttered and it really took me ages to get some pink or whitenoise going, to give just one example.. but what's really challenging are the envelopes.. i sometimes have a really hard time to successfuly HIT a certain env-point, so that it requires quite some patience occasionally.
but taking a look at today's date, there's still plenty of time for being patient

... with at least the exception of OSC 26: ZynAddSubFX which was the starting point for RuediRena.keith303 wrote: i mean the soundengine of this synth and its fundamental sonic capabilities are really way higher than any of the previous synths used in OSC
I am currently struggling with something vaguely resembling hihats. There is some progress made though.
Envelope points are scalable. Left click on the envelope display, choose 'box size' from the menu, click 'L' and enjoy the gigantic squares.keith303 wrote:i sometimes have a really hard time to successfuly HIT a certain env-point

you're certainly right and i'm quite positive that there were a real bunch of capable synths in OSC history. i actually meant to say ".. way higher than any of the recently used synths in OSC", as i intended to take reference to the rounds in which i participated (not so manyRuediRena wrote:... with at least the exception of OSC 26: ZynAddSubFX which was the starting point for RuediRena.keith303 wrote: i mean the soundengine of this synth and its fundamental sonic capabilities are really way higher than any of the previous synths used in OSC
i remember i tried "zoom", which was obviously wrong.RuediRena wrote:Envelope points are scalable. Left click on the envelope display, choose 'box size' from the menu, click 'L' and enjoy the gigantic squares.keith303 wrote:i sometimes have a really hard time to successfuly HIT a certain env-point
now this is great and really works wonders !

Just want to say thank you for this awesome tip. Although this synth has a steep learning curve, I'm starting to grasp just how much potential it has.RuediRena wrote:

The only problem I have is when I want to move an envelope point horizontally, while keeping it's "level" value from accidentally changing. Will probably figure this out when I delve deeper.

Got it! I'm working in Reaper, and they're easy to find if you're looking for them in the right place - thanks!C.Kerry wrote: It's VST2.4 so your Music Host program should have options to load/save .fxp or .fxb preset files So, Load/Save presets depends on which Music program you are using.
Thanks for the tips. It's not drift (the patch is already Note-On Sync), and yes - I'm aware that there are *many* destinations that all can be modulated by many things - it's funny it's a subtle change so I'm still hunting for what exactly is being modulated (it must be buried somewhere, haha! It's truly none of the obvious things!) but it really shows up with the reverb cranked... anyway, I appreciate your help - especially considering that I didn't know there were ANY presets until you pointed me toward my DAW. Now I have many starting points besides the one patch which is a godsend!C.Kerry wrote: As for 'modulation' - it depends what you mean. You got white noise going?? Wow - OK, This is a lot to ask, but can you quickly explain how to achieve something like white noise with this synth?? I've been trying to get some noise happening but am failing miserably and since I'm no sound design pro, I doubt I'm starting in the right place. Please only take the time if it's rather simple! But if it *is* rather simple, I would be super grateful, and this tune I'm working on will turn out WAY better, hahakeith303 wrote: it feels a bit cluttered and it really took me ages to get some pink or whitenoise going
