what i mean is if you have already recorded some notes in a midi instrument and press play & armed

do the pads flash for the notes that have already been recorded while you hear them ?

and does that functionality work with Bitwig Studio/PushForBitwig ?

Yes it does on Live. I don't know about bitwig.

In user mode, which is universal (not ableton specific), it doesn't by default - you must send note information back to push to light up pads. This can be done setting up correctly your midi routing or via scripting. It is good idea to check this thread for Push/Bitwig integration
