:?:

i have an Acer travelmate 800 laptop

the internal hd is a slow toshiba (4,200r/min), but with my external maxtor hd (firewire 7200r/min) for audio the thing works..................

BUT for more mobility i am thinking in changing the internal hd for a faster one

¿ is this easy? ¿can i do this for myself?

also: what is the best method for making a image/ghost -copy of my original hd for the new drive (with everything; windows, applications, etc?

Depends on the laptop. Keep in mind faster drives mean more heat. Heat can be damaging to the system without adequate cooling.

In short, I wouldn't touch it.
