Sandman - yet another cool new delay that doesn't cost $299

This was just advertised on the bargain thread:
http://www.unfilteredaudio.com/sandman.html
Having just unexpectedly sold something I took a punt on this despite no demo yet.
Nuts. You usually have to go to Reaktor or Max to get something as mad as this.
Well worth $15.
NB If you missed out on "the other delay" then I'm afraid this is unlikely to replace it.

Bought! Looks like it has somethings in common the The Harvestman's Tyme Sefari. Unfiltered Audio makes some really cool stuff.

Cool, I won this and G8 Gate in a charity raffle sometime back and was waiting for the release. Looking forward to getting the license email and playing with this.

(BTW, G8 Gate is pretty sweet too and can do some bizarre things as well as standard ones.)

So much fun.
Note that the video on the site doesn't show the LFOs which are in a drop down. That is where it gets really mental

had the pleasure to be part of the beta tester team on this one and really fell in love with it. it sounds great and is just such a brilliant interface. inspiring and fun to use. easy to dial up funky things quickly or get all crazy w/the modulation and turn it into a weird resonator karplus type synth.
freezing the buffer is great.. especially while modulating start/end times of the loop!
a no brainer really.. that intro price is just nuts.. this thing has more going for it than a lot of delays that sell at 5 times the price and don't sound nearly as juicy!

Yeah, I wish Lugosi had some tempo syncing functions but the ability to set the bounds of the playback loop independent of the record loop is brilliant. I also wish there was a Mac version.sinkmusic wrote:It reminds me Lugosi, but with tempo-sync features...
nice !

Wow, thanks everyone! We've been receiving a lot of love today.
I'll post a video later this week of the LFO section destroying a drum loop. In the meantime, let me know if you have any questions or concerns! I'll be watching this thread.
