Limiting phrase sizes to 1 bar

I cannot get phrases to be smaller ( in width ) than 2 bars. I would like to use only 1 bar phrases throughout an imported MIDI file. WHen I import a MIDI file, and select 1 for the Bars per line, I get a single ( one long ) phrase definition, which is unusable for attempting to use, say for instance, the phrase tools on small, selected bars.
for instance, I would like to use the Phrase Morpher between a 3 bar group. ( say bars 1, 2, and 3 of some MIDI file). I am unable to delete, ( clean out, clear out ), and apply the Phrase Morpher tool ONTO/WITHIN 'bar 2'. I am attempting to morph bar 1( of the imported MIDI file ) into bar 3 (of the same imported MIDI file) , by using bar 2 for the transformation ( for the morphed results) .
I keep getting stopped by loosing ( unintentionally ) more than 1 bar at a time. How can I use a 3 bar group when I need to morph the middle bar ??

Hello atonal,
you can freely split longer phrases, by pressing the backslash '\' key, or in the phrase inspector (Split 'xxx' At yyy). You need to set the playback position to where you want to split the phrase.
After splitting at bar 1 and 2, you can select and delete the middle bar.
Thanks,
Attila

Attila,
I was actually needing to have 'all' imported MIDI tracks immediately set themselves to 1-bar phrase lengths, not just on a single track.
Is there a preference or default setting whereby upon importing a MIDI file, 'all' of the phrase lengths will automatically default to a length of 1 bar ?

No, but I had good results when I set 'Bars/Line' to 1, and check 'Cut Phrases At the End Of Line'.
This feature is missing but it took 5 minutes to add it. It will be placed in the timeline inspector:

You can grab the latest beta version at the end of this week.
Thanks,
Attila
