iOS browser that keeps tabs loaded?

I've stopped using Safari on my iPad because it no longer seems able to keep multiple tabs loaded, often I need to compare several web pages at once if I am doing research but it's constantly having to reload pages in tabs that don't have focus which is slow when the net connection isn't good (like when I'm not in wifi range). I tried Chrome and it's a bit better but still tends to grey out background tabs, forcing a reload after a few minutes of them not having focus.

I think it may be something all the browser on iOS do, maybe when the ipad hits a certain memory usage? I also switched to chrome because of this since safari does it way too often, and most of the time chrome behaves, but sometimes it will start to do it as well where every tab reloads
You could also try mercury browser, I used that one for a while and it seemed to go a pretty long time before doing tab refreshes

Maybe it's to do with it being an iPad 2 - less RAM?
Trying Opera now - so far seems to be the best (and fast loading too)

Oh that's worrying - I was planning to update to an Air 2 when it comes out but this is a major offputter for me.

Looks like this is not uncommon:

at some point they seem to have changed the tab loading behaviour but not made it optional

I think it is especially annoying when writing a post on KVR and just looking for e.g. a word on dict.cc, switching back to KVR and bang! page reloads, all that I've written so far is gone. iPad Air here, also happened with dolphin browser. I've also suspected memory shortness sometimes but is not a consistent behavior. Well, consistently annoying...

Maybe I'm not understanding what you mean, but while I was typing this, I went to another site on a different tab, then came back here and continued typing. No problem doing that.
Ipad2 iOS 7.1.2, but that probably doesn't make a difference...

it doesnt always happen, at least for me if i only have a couple its usually fine, but once i load up like 8 tabs then it starts doing it. It also doesnt recover usually, so even after I close all of those and then only have like 2 tabs those 2 will reload

It seems to be doing better than Safari though so far - I have it switched to 'turbo' mode and it loads pages fast too and renders pages better than in 'mini' mode
