+1 to that!

Wow, I really didn't think I'd have a chance of winning with this track! I know everyone here hates dubstep. :-o To be honest, I thought Hanz Meyzer - Dance in the Bureau would be a shoe-in, but there were so many other very good tracks, all bets were off this round! This has to be the highest quality OSC month in history. Insanely good tracks and sounds. A testament to Synth1, but also to the abilities of all of you.

I'll be out this month, as it's a Windows-only plug. I need to spend some time doing something to learn my commercial plugs, anyway. And I have so many, after a couple years of G.A.S. that I really don't need any more, so...

I'll pass my prize this month (also, I don't feel donating it to a low entrant is right, as many people worked very hard on tracks who were likely not scored very low, so I can't justify philanthropic actions as such).

Don't worry, the next OSC track I do will probably be mellow, melodic trance... much less assault on your earholes. :)

Congratulations to the winners
so Z-Prime does it again - well done!!!
Really, there were SO MANY Great entries this month - well done to everyone :)

Sorry i haven't got around to the comments on SC yet. Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to listen and comment on my tune.

See ya in the next round :)

WOW! Honestly, I didn't think I'd even squeeze into the top 10 on this one! There were so many great compositions and well-produced recordings. Everyone did an amazing job! And I can't believe how high the quality of OSC has become overall!
Z: You do an amazing job every time! And I'm seeing you sharing what you do with others, so they can improve too, and that's a sign of a real winner! Congratulations!

Photonic: You are a master at classic prog rock and space music sound, and you have developed a sound and style of your own within that, with Ichiro's Theme probably the best example of it! I'm just waiting for you to release an album!

Keith 303: Such a natural sense of rhythm and keeping a good-feeling groove going! You're track got me moving!

Hanz Meyer: Probably my favorite out of the Synth 1 contest! I'm kind of a retro freak, and not only did you evoke the spirit of those 80's recordings, but you also had a solid, sweet-sounding mix!

And a side note for Doctor Bob: Your EDM track was great entry, and I really enjoyed it. OSC is a great opportunity to experiment with different types of music, and you really capture that with all the variety of styles you bring in. Keep experimenting, but remember to also play the music that really speaks to you, and I think that EDM track was a great expression of your music!

So, I guess it's my turn to pick a prize: I'm going to give Crisalys from Maxx Synths a try. Looks pretty good!

You are too kind, PWM!
Honestly, I would need to call my album "Best of OSC", because beside OSC I hardly did any other music.
But OSC is exactly the place to show my music. Here on OSC we have a good mix of all genres, so everyone finds his audience. I share my music also to other SC-groups but there is nearly no reaction from there. For me OSC is a treasure and I am more than happy to found it some time ago!

Now it is on me to tkae a prize: hmmmm.... try to avoid GAS! So another chance to get a Pro-mastering - I take the Balance Mastering again.

Thanks Z, BJ and PWM! My next track then will be some chill ambient and perhaps some EDM (it sort of depends whether I can get the right hook and bridge between the two styles)!

I'll suggest, as someone else already said...make the type of music you want to make rather than trying to fit it into a genre. If the music moves you, that should be enough - at least, that's my opinion and how I make music. Unless, of course, it's a goal of yours to win or place well in this competition. I make a form of EDM, and I know it doesn't jive with everyone, but I don't care. I'd rather make music that I'm passionate about and moves me than something I don't care as much for just for the masses. As I've said before, joining these comps and others has really gotten me a much deeper understanding of sound design and practice mixing, so it's been hugely beneficial for me - even if I don't win a prize at the end of the day.
