You're expecting too much - there's no way you won't be disappointed

The public beta will most likely happen without any presets. This includes module presets, which we see as a key feature for Hive's usability. If you are into fast workflows, you need to judge Hive from the time those presets are available. Some of these are supposed to make use of our internal (and sadly undocumented) scripting language, to add some sort of "recipe" for certain aspects of sound design. Oops there it is, I posted about something that we haven't implemented yet

Oooops :)

I begin to see where is this going :) Anyway, it is a must purchase for me, since it is for sure going to offer something new for me.

I usually don't care much about GUIs but I very like this one, hope the concept and especially the color scheme will make it into the final release.

As for presets, I think KVR will be immediately flooded with recreations of The Other Synth patches as soon as the beta breaks out.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I dont know about patches, but mr Urs have just discouraged me regarding my statement that this synth will inspire me :) :) :) But it looks freakin awesome. Dont know what to think now (confused). :D

:hyper:
Awesome.
I thought about asking for a module lock for loading presets so i could keep for example the osc settings while loading the rest of the preset.
But if i can save my own module presets from any patch thats even better.

So, still no gui screenshot? some possible gui shot? ;) it took ages from yesterday just to wake up and find nothing new here :)

Love the interface except for the hexagonal oscillascope, which feels boxy and constricted. Hopefully, it will be skinable and someone will give it a nice skin.

Looks are really important to some people!

You won't believe how good it looks.

Screenshots *maybe* end of this week.

Hey mr. Urs,

You sad to me yesterday that there is no way I wont be dissapointed after my statement that I am sure it will inspire me. Can you explain what you meant by that, in terms of visual appearance (which, based on what I saw, will inspire me to full extent), in terms of sound quality (??????? - u-he sound quality), or in terms of workflow???

Thanks, and dont let my posts distract you from posting full gui screens :)

I must say im worried regarding your statement...

Your statement sounds very enthusiastic. So I think you have very high expectations. But then often those expectations are not met when you get to use the actual synth. It's like, the higher the expectations the more likely the disappointment.

While I certainly like the hype about Hive and all the information we get from these threads, I'm a bit worried that many people expect it to be a "Sylenth Killer" or a "Virus Killer" or anything else that Hive isn't going or meant to be. We're just building what we call a "Sweet Spot Synth", with a very common feature set and with a certain strength for certain sounds that we hope people find enjoyable.

Thanks!

Well, now I know what can I expect and I am happy about it. No more distractions from me, expect I will ask for screenshots every morning until they show in thread :)

I heard that Hive was gonna be a "This-Plugin Killer". That's some serious expectations there! :clown:

I'm pretty sure it hits a market sweet spot particularly. :) And therefor, of course the expectaions will be high from those who liked the said synths. And even though there haven't been sound demos yet, i'm pretty sure it won't be a disapointment for these people.

I have no doubt hive will sound great. It will not kill sales from sylenth, and especially the virus. Stop saying any plugin is a plugin killer. Y'all are getting way too excited, then everybody will say "I thought it would be better" when it's released.

No plugin is a hardware killer. That talk just grinds my gears.

EDM is a plugin killer. It buries them under a billion patches that all sound the same.
