I love string machines, and if your other work is anything to go by, this should be a good 'un.

Thanks!

This is a first.

Double clicked on the ens and ...

Processor Overload!
Audio processing has been stopped!
Etc.

Looks nice but no way I can try it out.

Shut off the pedals, lower the polyphony (now set to 12) and lower the sample rate of Reaktor to get it to work. Then try what you can add. But yes it's major CPU hog :o

Thanks. I've never seen that warning message before. I'll give it a try! :)

EDIT:

You must be using a super-computer or something. The sample rate is set to maximum by default (176.4/198KHz). I just reduced it to Host/System 441000 Hz.

The GUI is massive as well.

Anyway, sounds good. That 'MXR phase 90' is stunning. :tu:

The String Machine MkII reaches 75% in worst case, both pedals in stereo mode, 12 note polyphony, 176kHz sample rate on my 3 year old standard iMac. Deactivate both pedals I'm down to 35% still keeping the polyphony and sample rate.

The string machine really need the sample rate to deliver the slick high end - there are no short cuts available. However the pedals don't need the high sample rate so you can separate the pedals to a separate ensemble and lower the sample rate for that. Put then both ensembles is series in your DAW.

Wow. That's exactly what I've been looking for
Murderous duck!

It does sound amazing... :tu:

Anyone got their appetite at the just released Arturia's Solina V - just a reminder of the Reaktor alternative, see above.

Very nice sounding machine, probably the best i've heard but too bad its completely useless. Yes i know about the tricks and workarounds but its still completely useless. If this was a useful machine i would have no problem paying for it or donating.

Really? What was the point of even coming here to say that? You think the developer wants "it's completely useless" as feedback?

It might be useless to you, but I have no problem with it. Maybe it's time you upgrade some of your gear if it can't handle this.

Robojam...go take your frustration somewhere else...as far as my gear goes...
try opening 20 instances of Diva on your machine...then talk to me...
If something 1 can not act as 20 Diva's...is that useful? I also clearly stated
i would PAY for it if it was useful...if you scroll and read the whole topic
you will see 95% of the people say the same thing i said...whats New?

I can't even use String Machine 2 because I can't update Reaktor to the newest version! (fuckin Windows Vista!)

I had to upgrade to Mavericks from Snow Leopard on OSX for the same reason 6 months ago. Vicious upgrade spiral...
