And you try to sell your music?
Don't take it personal, but does already someone has bought it? I mean, nothing against your music, but i think most users will stop when they just see a "$" nearby a music piece offered on the internet...independent from how impressive the music actually is.

you can get alot of it (all of it but a few new tunes) off of my old sites for free either http://atl3.com/popain or http://popain.iuma.com but iuma is acting a bitch lately.
and here's a direct download ~70 mb zip of an album:
http://atl3.com/popain/purpose_of_pain_(FA)_EMs.zip
The truth is i have college loans to pay off, rent and all that shit, and i would hope that some day I could sustain myself without the need for a "sellout" record contract. so if someone likes my music (and some people do) and are willing to pay .75 for a download, they can do that now for my newer shit. i'm not about big labels and all that bull, but i would like to buy bread someday on my own without the need of a "dayjob". can i get an amen? or am I just shooting shit at a deaf audience?
and maybe you shouldn't be turned off by the fact that I am trying to make money 'DIY not EMI', i think that it is bullshit that people take the view that music should never be paid for, or that independant artists should have to expect to always hold a day job. yeah f**k the record labels, but don't f**k the artists for trying to pay their rent.
end of rant.
raymond.

Maybe if you worked harder with your music people might want to pay. I make my living without a record label. I sell my music. I work very hard to find people who need my music. People who need music do not try to find you.
Sitting at home to post these things will not get you money for your music. It will get you laughed at. Is this obvious to you yet?

personally, I think of kvr as a community. trying to sell me something on your first visit just leaves a bad taste for me.
I do buy cd's of people on kvr, however, so don't be putoff.

i didn't post to this forum as hey go buy my music. it was a hey here I am and here is where you can listen to my tunes. didn't expect hostility because my tunes can be bought. and i am also a freeware vst developer.
but if pricetags turn you off so much, go to my iuma site and you'll be free of all imperialist commercialism and we can all continue to exist in our peaceful communal online music scene.

obtusely taken aback,
raymond

Obviously you misunderstood me. I'm not trying to convince you of free music or whatever. I just asked if someones pays for online music. Just because it seems to come up it doesn't necessarily mean it will be effective...raymond wrote:and maybe you shouldn't be turned off by the fact that I am trying to make money 'DIY not EMI', i think that it is bullshit that people take the view that music should never be paid for, or that independant artists should have to expect to always hold a day job. yeah f**k the record labels, but don't f**k the artists for trying to pay their rent.
