I think posting a torrent link is never a good idea, too many idiots will actually download the stuff directly from that link, it's better to send such links via email.

One one hand, there's a lot to like about v2 and as someone who only has 2 expansions (I got the the software and two expansions used from another KVRian at a good price) it wouldn't be the worst thing to have extra raw material, especially if it's high quality.

On the other hand, giving them more money is basically saying, "Yeah, I'm OK with your crappy business model." Though, to me fair, they're no Monsanto. I'm sure there's no buckets of gold in software like this and the skill it takes to write a program like this is beyond my little brain. When ever I write any code engineers always laugh at it and say, "Well, I guess one might do it that way" as if I'm a 5 year old jumping off a flight of stairs in an attempt to put my shoes on.

I am in the same boat. Bought it second hand and 1 or 2 packs but I agree with what you say.
I actually really like the patches I am doing with the demo and am getting HUGE sounds out of Iris 2. Maybe I will wait till the upgrade is a reasonable price (and not the price of a full product!).

I also bought it second hand @ KVR with one extra library (food) as an addon and was actually happy to upgrade via audiodeluxe... $87.99 is not the end of the world and I got 11GB of nice WAV samples (8GB new) in addition...

They actually replied to your Facebook post saying your post was hidden because it contained a link to illegal software and they also thanked you for reporting.

I never had version 1, but I am enjoying getting to know version 2 so far.....

If you live in Massachusetts where iZotope also live, you can object to its business model directly through the state Consumer Protection law. The process begins by writing a form letter (to iZotope), toward the goal of better communication and a business model that meets 'community standards of fair dealing.'

Yes, his name is Hans and he lives in this spectral basement. No, I haven't encountered it myself, but it seems to be easily reproducible. I found a huge bug in v1 yesterday though, but won't report it because it's development is discontinued anyway.
