Need advice. Melodyne Editor for $149 USD - worth it?

So, I just jumped on the Presonus Studio One Pro deal for $199 and got Melodyne Essentials included. I've just tooled around with it, and while I like it - the features are quite limited (no DNA, etc).
When I signed up for my Celemony account and registered my Melodyne Essentials license, I got a limited time offer to upgrade to Melodyne Editor for $149 USD. This would get me DNA among other features. Are there any Melodyne users out there that feel this is worth it?
My primary use is mono vocal tracks, although the thought of being able to also do polyphonic notes seems really appealing.

there's a lot that's in editor that isn't in essential besides DNA... formant control, vibrato, control over sliding on/off new notes, etc. i think it's worth it if you actually use it (i've bought it a couple times, thought it was cool, then never used it, so i ended up getting rid of now... now i have a host with ARA, so next time i hope to use it more...)

Yes. I haven't found DNA useful (others have) but the control in editor of note transitions and vibrato is huge!

Just like to mention as a S1 user myself, you will frequently find those "time limited" offersEnochLight wrote:So, I just jumped on the Presonus Studio One Pro deal for $199 and got Melodyne Essentials included. It's been well over a year and 1/2 since I passed on this offer and regret it every day. Nowhere have I seen an upgrade to Editor from Essentials appear throughout the year, at least not for the amazing price of $149 USD...

I would love to, but it's exorbitantly expensive compared to the upgrade offer from Essential to Editor that I stupidly passed on.blamejake wrote:Not sure what the 'Studio' version upgrade offer is, but you may want to consider it.

This is an old thread, so not sure if it's limited to S1......
What about tracktion? (I guess I should just register it and find out)
I had editor years ago. Fine software but for me I just didn't use it. Luckily what I paid was so low that I made a profit selling it (how many times does that happen?
)
Anyways, just say this and though I'd ask.

If your interested in melodyne that's a great deal if you can get it. Upgrade
to the editor, then next time the sale comes round you can upgrade
to the studio for the same price likely.
Editor to studio is $149 atm... That's where I am after taking the essential
to editor a few years ago.

I don't think it was related to any daw, just new registrations... I want to say I bought my essential used and got the offer (and sold it later) but didn't get it this time after melody new 4 was released...
