My first public performance with vocals in some time now. Just a 1 minute love chant featuring:

Tell you what, Sepheritoh, some cleaner vox to cut through the sounds here would have worked wonders. That backing is great and really quite delicate, but the vox in their current form seem to intrude.

Go on! Lose those distortion fx! I dare you!

Thanks Miro. I'll work on the vocals a bit more. It is the clone ensemble causing the distortion (i think).

this is great
but yeah unprocess the voccs a bit,a bit cleaner would be mahvelous
this even tho its short has many stages and its just great what else can i say.i love your more experiMental stuff-its a side you really need to let out more

Would this sound a bit better? Only change: Here is take 2 I lost the dry mix of the vocals comletely.

Hmmm... I really want to hear your voice, Sepheritoh. I think that's what I was getting at. The lyrics speak of love, but the vox don't emote it, such is the effect of the fx you have on them.

This is a shame, as the music deserves it.

Is it possible to have a clean vocal take? A bit of reverb allowed only

I don't understand the lyrics, but I'll take your word
it's about love. However, the fx don't give off a loving impression, rather sort of nightmarish.

suppose that depends entirely on your viewpoint of what love actually is

to me it works,love is not something that is necassarilly beautiful remember.

im guessing vurt box is provideing all the lovely orchestral strings n stuff

i personally like the slightly fxed one,but thats just me
but try to be more confident(says me)with the mic

Thanks. Needs lots of practice to get the voice right. Impossible to keep a tune. First I do the song simple, then record the lyrics. Next I'll convert the lyrics to midi to find out what chord & key I really sang

and use TC-helicon to autotune. Then I'll re-do the whole song in the new key.

ok, I like the second take and the clean version (but maybe move it closer to the center of the mix)
ultimately it's your call on which one to keep. I'm sorry I didn't think about there being two sides to love. doh! of all things I should know that!
