That's pretty much how I felt about it after fiddling a bit. It doesn't have that in your face sparkle/grit that the original had. Again, it's just a hair dead like the SEM. However, it is that really amazing combination of modulation capabilities. to me $99 to go from V3 to V4 is a no brainer to get the Vox, M12 and Solina. Even if the M12 is not THE M12.
