There is one. You can update through the new license thingy.

There seems to have been some mixup with my account on the websit and it showed that I have the Moog Modular V registered when I actually have the CS80. So I downloaded the new license thing and what do you know, now I do actually have the Moog Modular. The CS80 comes up as unlicensed in that even though I have bought it but I'll just not bother to update that so I now have both. Cheers Arturia.

So, are these one-off activations like Ableton has, where you have to contact support and beg for more if you have to re-install your operating system? Or is there a way do de-activate from a computer and return it to your license cloud like Waves and PACE?

The Prophet app has by far the best gui out of any of them though, really clean and well thought out. I really wish they would apply some of that gui building talent to their plugins too - even the new ones could do with some work (SEM gui is probably the best - Wurlitzer the worst out of the recent ones).

So is this new licenser going to suddenly unregister everything that is on my elicenser dongle or can the two coexist? I would rather not have to go through reauthorising everything if I can avoid it - especially since the registrations showing in my account on their site are full of errors.

Grace period?

Ingonator wrote:Just shortly checked the Matrix-12 plugin. While the features and the basic sound seem to be there it does not really "knock me off my feet" like with some demos of the real thing.

I worked for years with a "real" Matrix 12. It was maybe my favorite synth [together with the Jupiter8].
And i have to confirm that i don't think they nailed it [they neither nailed it with the J8-V],

If i had to say it in a brutal way, i would say that the sound has almost nothing in common with the real thing.
It sounds cheesy, while the Matrix 12 was like a real Rolls-Royce.

The Solina demos are making me want to listen to some early OMD.

I got the $99 upgrade offer from buying the last one during the half-off deal last August so guess I'll pick this up tonight.

Yea I got it for $99. I had V3.

The instructions say they can coexist as old projects may need to call the dongle.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Doesn't look like you can "unactivate". You get 5 shots before you have to beg. At least that's how it looks.

There is no need to check anything, most of my synths i bought ONLY by hearing the FIRST
note of the first Demo and i was already purchasing it. NEVER EVER was wrong, that is how
i got LUSH 101, KV311 SM, DIVA, ZEBRA, VACUUM PRO, LOOM, SEM V, BLUE 2 and few others.
I do not see that happening with either of those now...especially from Arturia.

If you click on the Gear on the left hand side of the app, you can un-authorize each or the whole computer. So unless you have a hardware failure, this should do nicely. :D

The GUI / install process seems like they modeled it after NI's Service Center.

I'm happy to be rid of e-licenser!  :tu:

I hope someone can confirm this, while I still prefer purely external licenses, e.g. dongles, call me crazy, I know, if this isn't the case, I think that I'll use this as an opportunity to move on from Arturia stuff. I'm not using mine that much and am taking all opportunities to rid my system of any C/R type authentication that has limits. At the moment, Ableton is the only software I own and still use that uses CR with limits.

You and I are exactly on the same page.

I submitted a support query asking about this and one other thing before I saw superscan's post. I'll post here if I hear anything different. V Collection 4 looks cool, but certainly not essential (esp. since I already bought Spark 2), and I will not buy it if they handle activations like Ableton. (But it sounds from superscan's response that at least you can de-activate without having to go through Arturia support- so fingers crossed.)
