V Collection 4

I'm interested in V Collection 4, but as soon as I installed the latest Analog Lab (1.2.0.405) it was broken. Standalone does not work at all with my Keylab 49 or Minilab. VST works somewhat but is buggy, the volume knob bounces around values, the drumpad->chord feature is broken, and I got errors popping up randomly when selecting some of the new Vox Continental patches. I just wish they would test stuff better before releasing it, I'm a big fan of Arturia products but it seems like they release unfinished software and let the paid customers test it for them when they should be testing it internally.
If they can work out the kinks with Analog Lab before my coupon expires I'll probably upgrade to V Collection 4, but for now I had to revert back to version 1.1.
I do appreciate that they're moving off of eLicenser, I really disliked eLIcenser, and their software center reminds me of Native Instruments. That is a good move. Other than Analog Lab it seems the new versions of the V Collection apps I tried were stable with the Arturia Software Center.
I guess I'll try demoing the new individual synths and check them out. I just lost a lot of time fiddling around with Analog Lab so I didn't really get a chance to play with the new synth demos.

Hello,
I am very sorry about the problem you are encountering.
I have a couple a questions/remarks below.

What is exactly the problem? Can you give some details? What is your OS? Is it in VST and/or in standalone?djwaxxy wrote:keylab 49 no longer works with analogue lab..
Is it after closing the Cubase session or just Analog Lab GUI.analogue lab in Cubase now times out the new presets and once you edit a sound via the vst gui and reopen it later the second it shows the gui it wipes your sound and generates a random patch instead but still keeps the orginal patch name.
You have to click on the activate button for all the instruments in the Arturia Software Centerthe new service center unregisters all your plugins so you need to reregister them its a pain they should have left things alone.

I own 3 Arturia products (Oberheim SEM V, Jupiter 8V, Prophet V) but did not receive any coupon codes. Not for the single plugins and also not for V-Collection.
Are discounts only available for V-Collection owners this time?

Hey Kevin, when I launch standalone Analog Lab 1.2.0.405 it fails to work with the Keylab 49 or Minilab on Windows 7 x64. The only thing that works is selecting presets by mouse will update the display on the Keylab. But it seems to not accept any midi input from either of the controllers.Kevin [Arturia] wrote:What is exactly the problem? Can you give some details? What is your OS? VST has the problems i mentioned before, the sound level knob doesn't work and the chord pad feature doesn't work.

If you log in to "My Arturia" under "My Account" do you see a section of "My Coupons"?Ingonator wrote:I own 3 Arturia products (Oberheim SEM V, Jupiter 8V, Prophet V) but did not receive any coupon codes. Not for the single plugins and also not for V-Collection.

On my end it says:
I don't own V collection but I do own a SparkLE, SEM V, Prophet V and Mini V. The discount is pretty substantial (over 50%) so I am definitely tempted to update, if these Analog Lab issues are resolved. I've been playing around with the Matrix 12 demo and I am pretty impressed by that plugin. Would be nice to have everything under one roof with the Analog Lab.You are entitled to a very special price to get the V collection 4.
Hurry up this is a limited time offer !
This personal offer is valid until January 10th 2015. To benefit from this offer, add the V Collection 4 (download version) to your cart. The rebate coupon will automatically be taken in account.

No there is no such section in my account. I could see my registered products (they also appear in the new Software Center) but no coupons section.SoundGoddess wrote:If you log in to "My Arturia" under "My Account" do you see a section of "My Coupons"?Ingonator wrote:I own 3 Arturia products (Oberheim SEM V, Jupiter 8V, Prophet V) but did not receive any coupon codes. I would send them a ticket and tell them you're interested in the V collection and see if they would be willing to give you a coupon for it. I think they'd work with you, since they gave me a coupon. I also have had luck with this approach with another company KV331, I sent them an email telling them how much I spent on their products and that I wanted to upgrade to their Synthmaster Everything edition and they were happy to work with me to get me upgraded at a discount.

Each synth has his own way to work with sustain pedal.
CS80V :
- engage first sustain switch on the bottom left and set sustain time fader as you like
Matrix12 :
- map VCA env (env2) release on Pedal 1.
Solina :
- Map sustain pedal on sustain length fader.
Prophet :
2 modes
-Release mode = Sustain Pedal will switch on release of the VCA. In order to enable this mode simply switch of RELEASE button and set release time to a noticeable value.
-Legacy "HOLD" sustain mode = This mode is available in the pref view (click on prophet logo). When enable sustain pedal will act as an hold switch
VOX :
Original Vox didn't have any sustain pedal. No sustain pedal feature had been added

I just installed the update for Jupiter 8V (v2.6.0) and noticed that with custom patches there is a problem with loading those. If you switch the patches there is a big delay of several seconds until the patch is loaded
I found this with my own bank and also with a 3rd party bank from Kid Nepro.
Did not find this with previous versions and also does not seem to happen with the factory patches.
So far i checked this with the Standalone and the 64-bit VST2 plugin in Live 9.1.6 64-bit (at Windows 7 64-bit).
UPDATE:
Just checked the 64-bit VST2 plugin in Cubase 7.5.30 64-bit and while there is still a small delay when switching custom patches it is much less than with the Standalone or the VSt2 plugin in Live 9.
Factory patches seem to be switched very fast without a delay.
UPDATE:
Added as support ticket #190278.
UPDATE:
I just deinstalled Jupiter 8V, deleted all old remaining files (also from C:\ProgramData) and reinstalled.
Now loading the custom patches seems to work normally...

Did you check the audio midi settings in the standalone? It seems that there are some issue when several MIDI controllers are connected.SoundGoddess wrote:Hey Kevin, when I launch standalone Analog Lab 1.2.0.405 it fails to work with the Keylab 49 or Minilab on Windows 7 x64. After sending an e-mail Arturia just added a coupon to my account, many thanks for that.SoundGoddess wrote:I would send them a ticket and tell them you're interested in the V collection and see if they would be willing to give you a coupon for it. 169 € for an upgrade from Jupiter 8V, Oberheim SEM V and Prophet V to V-Collection 4. Sounds like a quite good offer based on the fact that this is the same price as the full version of Matrix 12V.

For what it's worth I'm not getting a response from the standalone ALab with either of my MIDI controllers (M-Audio Oxygen and IK iRig) whether plugged in separately or together. The preference pane lists the keyboards as input options but won't make use of them.Kevin [Arturia] wrote: Did you check the audio midi settings in the standalone? When using it as a plugin in Logic X everything is running peachy.
Running OSX 10.9.5.

Wow, thank you for this info. I wish I'd had it years ago! I figured the VOX was just being authentic, but I never realized that all these synths had unique sustain pedal setups. I think Arturia should have a prominant technote on their website about this. I thought my Prophet V always had a sustain bug (and I stopped using it), and when I searched online I found many posts from others saying the Prophet V was broken (no sustain with Logic, etc) and that Arturia tech support said they were working on a fix! So there really has been some bad confusion about this, and a lot of Arturia trashing on music forums as a result. I guess many musicians don't even use sustain pedals with the type of instruments Arturia sells, so it's just a subset of us scratching our heads.ben arturia wrote:Each synth has his own way to work with sustain pedal.
