Are you having the plug-in windows open when you experience this issue? If yes, does it help to disable the analyzers?

Yes, I was trying to tweak the Eq when this happened, I tried to disable the analyzers but the mini menu got stuck and had to close and re open, I think background spotlight indexing had something to do with it ...

Hi Stian.

Here's a pic of the tooltip problem i'm getting. I've just tried Multiply and found the same thing, maybe its a problem at my end. New PC, fairly sure Multiply was fine on my old one, i'll take a look on there when i get a chance.

Thanks for posting the screenshot! Maybe it is related to certain graphic drivers. I'll search the Juce forum and see if the problem is known.

Thanks for the feedback. The visualizers are quite resource hungry, so it is probably a good thing to limit the number of open windows if possible. I'll check if it is possible to optimize the painting as well.

Thanks for your suggestion! I'm slightly skeptical about overloading the GUI, though. We'd really need separate L/R controls as well, then. It would have to be some sort of pull-down menu or pop-up window that allow additional control over the mid / side and pan in that case. I'll think about it...

Separate channel output control would be very welcome. Everytime you use M/S or L/R mode with some EQ bands you change the overall M/S or R/L balance at the same time. I would recommend putting 1 simple balance knob next to main output volume for M/S or L/R balance that could be enough.

I have downloaded the latest 1.0.6 demo, and also encountered the same behaviour as mutantdog. Same with Multiply.
I also have a fairly new PC, but wil be swapping my old Radeon HD for a new nVidia GTX in a couple of days and see if that helps at all.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm looking into the issue. Please let me know if the new nVidia card makes any difference.

Thanks,
Stian

Further to this i have just tried Multiply on my old laptop (cheap Dell) and the tooltips show up just fine. This is using the same version of Live and the standard pre-install Win 8.1. The version of Multiply on there however is v1.0.1, whereas i have v1.1.1 on my desktop with this issue.

As far as i can tell all my drivers are up to date, I'm just using onboard graphics (Asus Z97-K).

I've tried to resolve the issue with the tooltips. I got a tip from Jules, the author of the JUCE development library, and he suggested to disable text rendering using DirectWrite and see if it helps. Here is an intermediate build:
It would be great if you could check it out and let me know if it solves the issue.

Thanks,
Stian

Thanks for the quick feedback guys! :) It would be good to be able to utilize DirectText again, but at least it is clear what the culprit is...
