In the bag or out or not, the point was addressed as being premature.Angus_FX wrote:Any talk of grace periods is a little premature while Synth Squad is on sale at $99.
Sure you can ask, but it looks a bit dickish given the previous response.

Don't mind if I do.OutCider wrote:Sure you can ask, but it looks a bit dickish given the previous response.
I couldn't care less what it looks like. If the dev announces that a new version of a plug is on it's way, then he's gotta deal with all kinds of questions, including upgrade paths.
They can't just be sidestepped. I would feel pretty miffed if I had just bought SS at $99, and being told afterwards that I was not included in the upgrade plans, because I bought the plugs during a sale.

Completely understand. MIDI alone is fine. I think transmod to MIDI sounds cool, but would probably be waaay too much work to implement and would probably just introduce all kinds of new nasty bugs. MIDI output from the Fusor sequencer would be insanely awesome.Angus_FX wrote:MIDI output from the sequencer/arpeggiator - should be possible, but won't get all the Transmod goodies that way.
So if the synths are going to sell separately...will there be any point to buy Fusor if we don't get one of the other synths?
Regarding the GUI...I'm more than fine with it. Thank you for staying away from the Arturia-like photo-realistic GUIs. It's completely unnecessary and fools no one.
Now, while I personally don't care about it, I'm still curious....but will there be 0dff on the new filters? You know everyone's going to ask anyway. lol.
Either way I'm thrilled to hear about the CPU optimizations. Can't wait to try it.

Should I not be even more miffed if I paid $199 for it AND still have to pay an upgrade fee, when you have paid $99 and get the free upgrade?Numanoid wrote:Don't mind if I do.OutCider wrote:Sure you can ask, but it looks a bit dickish given the previous response.

It's a little bit beside the point.zvenx wrote:Should I not be even more miffed if I paid $199 for it AND still have to pay an upgrade fee, when you have paid $99 and get the free upgrade?
What would be good would be to know if Synth Squad v1 goes to v2 (meaning not like Guru being discontinued in favour of Geist), and if there is a grace period, or if everybody need to upgrade.

I've read your posts before
So you haven't bought it for $99 yet you're still getting dickish despite being told by the developer that it's premature. OkayNumanoid wrote: I couldn't care less what it looks like. That's how I see it.zvenx wrote:But Angus has already answered you. Whether you like the answer or not.
