In the phrase editor, when you put the mouse on the left of a selected note, you can move his starting point.
On the right you control duration.
Please, can you add a control in the middle to increment or decrement the velocity when you move up or down the mouse pointer ?
Hello Ghislain,
very good suggestions! I added them to my notes. The phrase editor will be reworked for the next update, v2.9.

Thank you!

Thank you. :tu:

In the Phrase Editor, can you also add an option to display the general midi drum map on the keyboard.

Hi Attila!
For Mac still 2.8.4beta?

Hi lulukom!

The latest beta version v2.8b9 is available now for Windows and OS X! Today I tested it on OS X, it was working very well.
Please make sure you make a backup copy of your custom phrases, because the program will sort them into subfolders when it is first run.

EDIT: v2.8b9 will be uploaded again, as I found a bug in the instrument menu. It will be available in about an hour.
EDIT2: the final v2.8b9 is available now

Thanks,
Attila

Two interesting features:

1. Idiom Generator: Given a folder of phrases, randomly picks one out of the set. Perhaps have an slider for "energy level" which, if low, selects phrases with less notes/movement, and if high, selects phrases with more notes/movement. (The reason why I suggest "idiom generator" as the name is that it is likely that users will have custom phrases grouped by idiom - i.e. if I am writing a rock guitar part, my phrase library will likely contain a folder of strumming and fingerpicking patterns). This feature could be highly useful as the program evolves and people share custom phrase libraries as idioms.

2. Song structure - dynamics/complexity control that would allow one to select an "energy level" for a part. For example, if I have a song whose structure is divided into four parts, I may want the first part to have a lower energy level, then the second part to have a medium energy level, and then the third part to have a high energy level, and then the fourth part a lower energy level.

The energy level would apply to generators, automatically selecting parameters for higher complexity and/or higher velocity for higher energy levels, etc..

So from a workflow standpoint, I would create my song structure, choose an energy level for each part, and then apply any generators, which should (in theory) provide me with the feel of a song that rises and falls. It would save a lot of tweaking.

i will suggest one of my old idea again but i think i nailed this time via easy one ( hope :) )
while "Inhibit phrase selection in multiple tracks" is active how about a key combo for unselect all phrases at once?
for example ctrl+shift click to any of the empty track areas?

Post

!!!!! Great suggestions guitarmanchu!!!!

Especially the first suggestion (Idiom Generator) re: randomly selecting a pool of phrases by their 'Meta-Data' classifications.

thanks BlackWinny :)
i have new one ( still digging new features to catch up !)
i love the new preview function its so great!

my suggestion is adding also scales as preview target
i know current aim is preview via selected chords
but
if / when you have/use relative "scale based" phrases results is fantastic
you'll able to preview / hear immediately phrases according to current key / scale
so the suggestion is :
it would be more fantastic to have scales here alternatively such as Harmonic Minor ,
Hungarian Maj + Minor etc.

Thank Yıldırım for video !
I would like to add your offer!
Do you offer in preview to make it possible listening in the respective scales! That'S Perfect! Let's make it possible and listening in the respective chords (if / when you have/use relative "chords based" phrases !) Added to preview in the major / minor / major seventh, listening in master track chords!

Thanks! lulukom

Hello everyone!
I would like to hear feedback about the problem that I have, but maybe it's a problem setting my system?
When I select a scale mater track changes happen visually and only when I stop playback and start playback again I hear these changes! (when I drag phrase up / down).
That is, there is no reaction to changes in scale (by ear) in real time!
I hear that change scale, only when playback is stopped and a new start playback!
This happens only to me or is this a bug so all users?
thanks
And yet, Attila, I would like to know whether there is possibility (as is possible with other programs in Mac osx)) assign RC to a specific Desktop (right click on icon the application (in the Dock) / options / this desktop!
Visually, this function is not!
thanks
lulukom
PS
Any action in the program does not work in real time,
Only after the stop and play again. How Come?

Hi Attila!
When you open the phrase in phrase editor, you can edit the phrase, but now I want to edit the following phrase and I have to go back to the composition ... Need arrow button "next phrase"!
Thanks!
Sincerely lulukom
