Hi

My Liteon 40*12*48 CD rewriter is playing up!

The only Cd it will do anything with is Age of empires2 the Conquesidors - Very good game, I ha........... Shit I want to burn a few demos in my EVERQUEST for the perfect host - as this is my internet pc, its the only way to get stuff on my music pc - anyway how do cdwriters normally pack up?

Basically it will not recognize anything other than pre recorded disks (I was lying about aoe!)
so every time I put a blank disk in - it just states d:/is not accessable. the device is not ready.

Any advice - is it dead?

I will probably have to go out tomorrow and get another one otherwise.

it could simply be too dirty inside the drive to read much of anything..

try cleaning it with a proper cd drive cleaning thingy.. it will brush off any dust and materials in the drive, specifically on the laser lens thingy (:D) inside the drive..
