When you open the phrase in phrase editor, you can edit the phrase, but now I want to edit the following phrase and I have to go back to the composition ... Need arrow button "next phrase"!
Thanks!

Expanding lulukom's request, it would be great to have a scrollable miniature representation of the track on the edit page, with phrase sections indicated, to be able to select a phrase for editing on the fly.

Click on the section then and it appears in the editor.

In my work with digital music I find that one of the most common things I do is UNDO! :) And I rarely use the keyboard commands for this function. I much prefer to have a menu item or prominent button or even a right-click option for UNDO/REDO.

Post

Another feature I am missing when I work with RapidComposer is the ability to right-click and choose Copy/Paste. It would be great if these commonly used functions were available on a right-click menu like most modern GUIs.

In the Phrase Editor (and other places in the program) it would be great if selecting multiple items worked as expected when using shift and ctrl. Usually holding shift key makes selection of contiguous items while holding ctrl lets you add non-contiguous items to your selection. It seems in RC shift works like ctrl.

I just noticed that in the main composition window shift and ctrl do indeed work as expected to select phrases so that is great! But would still be nice to be consistent everywhere in how these selection tools work! :D

When working with multiple phrases I noticed that certain functions, such as Phrase-Object Properties like cut and Phrase-Object Actions like time offset, work just fine on every phrase currently selected. And on Phrase-Generator properties you change the display when multiple phrases are selected to show that the only available option is to regenerate.

But, when I choose Phrase-Variations, it looks like I am able to apply variations to each selected phrase when in fact only the first one is receiving the variations. It would be really great to be able to set variations on multiple phrases at once!

Post

Related to my last post...it would be awesome if I could copy variations from one phrase and then paste them into the Phrase-Show variations panel for another phrase!

BTW, I am taking the afternoon to use RC so I am just listing any suggestions/requests as I go through it. BUT, I want to be sure you know that I am in no way being critical of the program!! It is amazing and I love it!

As a guitar player, one thing that would be cool is to have an option to display chord forms with a capo at a selected fret. For example, if I am playing an E chord shape with capo at fret 5, this is actually an A chord but it would be nice to have the option to display it as E so I do not need to mentally transpose chords.

Hi there,
i want to suggest a visual addition for the selected phrases
i think picture will explain everything.

what do you think ?

Thanks in advance!

HELLO EVERYONE!
I would like to add ...
must denote color, What quality do are PHRASES!
IE should be seen directly on the track what encoding algorithm is applied to the phrase.
-1 Melodic (eg some color)
-2-3 Chord (eg some color)
-1 absolute (eg some color)
Maybe it will be colored shadows phrases that will turn on an option?
During operation I often forget how to encode one or another phrase

Good luck to everyone!

I was testing entering a chord using the MIDI keyboard. I found and fixed a memory leak on OS X. I could even crash it when pressing lots of keys at the same time. Thank you for reporting this!

(I was about to move your post to the Bug Reports topic.)

Thanks,
Attila

Yes, Attila, thank you!
I understand that the quantity different suggestions from users does not give you work to work on your plan, but we all have the desire to make a good program even better for all and for each individual !
Here's an example I would like to see in the track (when I move the phrase up and down) could be seen as note names, how wonderful it is done in
Phrases Editor!
When I am looking for the right position to me the phrase "vertical", I always think: What sort of chord notes are now?
Thank you for your support of users!
Sincerely lulukom
PS I wonder if you ponder all the offers in the post or miss some as stupid and do not respond out of courtesy? ))))))))))

Hi lulukom,
He does....pay attention to what is written here at the forum. One way you can tell that is by all the FR's he puts into RC as soon as possible.

Oh yes, He is listening I can assure you :tu:

Ah, so many amazing and inspiring suggestions in the last two days since I last checked this topic. I try to reply them all.

guitarmanchu, very good ideas! A "container" phrase that can hold references to a number of phrases either added manually or selected by an expression (e.g. by tag) from all the phrases in the browser. Then you can further filter them to select a few, and the ordering could be set by e.g. ABAB... or AABB or ABCBABC... there could be various schemes depending on the number of phrases. tonedef71 also had this idea a few months ago.

Your second suggestion is very powerful. You can be sure that both suggestions will be added soon.

Thanks,
Attila
