I took a university course, on basic-to-intermediate level, about harmonization this semester. It was fantastic! Unfortunately I don't have time to take any follow up courses next semester (working full time), but I'd like to learn more about the topic in my spare time. Can you guys recommend some good books (and/or video tutorials) about harmonization on an intermediate-to-advanced level? :hyper:

(I don't do techno...)

Well, Book 2 of Hindemith's 'Traditional Harmony' is subtitled 'Advanced Exercises' so perhaps that might do the trick.

I like "The Jazz Theory Book" by Mark Levine personally

I'd like some tips on creating vocal harmonies ala Four Freshman, The Lettermen, Beach Boys, etc. if anyone has links to resources for structuring that type; maybe just chord structure with notes as assigned to bass, alto, tenor, soprano...
Free public domain midi files of such would be helpful.
