Waldorf just published new updates for Mac that are compatible with OSX Yosemite now:

- Largo: http://www.waldorf-music.info/downloads-largo
- PPG Wave 3.V: http://www.waldorf-music.info/downloadsppg3

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WaldorfMusic

With LArgo and PPG Wave 3.V there seemed to be AU validation problems in OSX Yosemite.
Waldorf Edition and Lector seemed to work properly with the previous versions.

Hi!

There is new version 1.5.3 for Largo at Waldorf site.
Downloaded it and installed, but it still writes 1.5.2
Setup file and also on Largo synth writes 1.5.2

Post

Can i just install the new version over an existing one on Windows?

I just checked this and while the Windows installer seems to show 1.5.2 the VST2 + VST3 plugin show 1.5.3 here (at the main GUI next to the "Largo" logo and also at the about page).

UPDATE:
The version numbers in the installer will be corrected ASAP (work seems to be already in progress...). In the plugins it already seems to be shown correctly (at least on Windows).

UPDATE:
The new Windows Largo installer with the correct version number 1.5.3 should be up now.

To avoid some confusion: The current versions do not have all bugs in our lists solved yet while 2 more serious remaining ones seem to be related only to the AAX plugins of Largo and PPG Wave 3.V.
Waldorf just fisnished the updates for the new OSX Yosemite and is curently also working on new products so it is possible that the remaining bugs will take until next year (hopefully no new ones will be added until then...).

If I'm reading the license correctly, if I have a desktop and laptop and want to instal Wave on both I have to purchase two licenses, even if I never use both at once. Is this correct?

No, this is not correct. If you have the license of PPG Wave 3.V on an eLicenser USb donle you could use the license on any computer where you plugin the USB dongle in.

With a soft eLicenser there should be multiple activations and if not you should be able to request a new one.
Anyway i do not have much experiences myself with Waldorf soft eLicesner as i always used the dongle with their plugins. If you are uisng the soft eLicenser the best would be to ask supoort if you hvae no activations left.

Ther should be only a problem with the license if you want to use it at two computers at the same time. Thios would make it necessary to buy a second license AFAIK (the license on the dongle would work on only one anyway).

Dunno, a strict reading of the manual (pg 10 & 11) seems to pretty strongly imply that it's one install only with a soft license. Not really a fan of dongle license myself so I think I'll skip it. Thanks though.

Dongle is highly recommended though. Imagine your hard drive stops working, and you only have the license in your soft eLicenser. I could imagine you have to go through a process of having to prove to Waldorf that you purchased the plugin. Now this can be done easily of course, when you bought it in their web store, but if you bought it somewhere else, it could become quite a hassle. If you have any eLicenser protected software, i would get a dongle if i was you. Then you won't have a problem running the software on different computers too. It's as easy as plugging in the dongle.

I am not sure about details concerning soft eLicenser at Waldorf as i always used the dongle. Could be good asking support about more details.

Anyway the dongle seems to be more safe IMO and is independent of the computer that is used.
Some of the licenses on my eLicenser dongle are around 7 or more years old and had been used on different compuers since then.
A transfer of a soft eLicenser would usually need a transfer to a dongle if it should be used on another computer or the need of a second license which some companies seem to offer.

Pesonally i am no big fan of the soft eLicenser as it is possible that it leads to more problems than with using the dongle.

Installed the Yosemite compatible release on my mac today, but I can't locate any presets now. Any guesses as to where they might be?

Avoid software elicenser. Dongle is safer.

I guess you talk about PPG Wave 3.V? The problem seems to be already known and there should be a fix ASAP.

Did you also notice a problem with Largo?

I got multiple hosts for testing but only at Windows 7. This means i could not check this myself like with bugs that also happe in Windows (I did not notice such problem there).
