" INCREDIBLE ! "Can we consider this a ' continuation ' of Guenters work ? it certainly reminds me of an H.G.Fortune synth...and that's not a BAD thing !!!

Thank you for making the free version available, this will allow some time to evaluate. The MP3s sound very good. Have a great Christmas, if that's your thing. :)

Well from Golden Aset (and others I believe) I always liked the presets labeled "VK" which as I understand are yours, and same with this new plugin as well.
I already knew that besides looking nice, your new synth (this one) would have nice sounds with it;
Turns out I like the synth operation/character as well, so well done all around!

Art Pyrite has the core of Golden Aset - so yes, this synthesizer is partially a work of HG Fortune and also partially a work from Joe - Fretted Synth Audio (maybe you remember SafFron or FreeAmp). He helped me much to build this synth.

When I released the sound library Exposure for Kontakt, it was a memory of Tim Conrardy. Now Art Pyrite can be a memory of Guenter (Fortune). Both these guys were super and both are very missed !! :(

Very nice synth indeed - right up my street :) Found a possible bug - when you move the attack slider (in amp env 1 & 2) from it's lowest position (so with the attack at it's snappiest) to some other position and then back to the lowest position, the snap is not there - there's still a softness to the attack which suggests it's not moving back to the original position.

Thank you do_androids.
About attack slider: it is not a bug. There is a small softness at attack intently because of step sequencer. This sequencer does not start the waveform always at start but in miscellaneous parts of the whole length of sample. Small softness at attack prevents of click at start of step.

I am honored to review one of the very best vst plugins released this year.
Artvera has been giving musicians all over the world marvelous products which are both affordable and unsurpassed when it comes to quality.
Without any further ado ,let me give you the straight dope.
INTERFACE : My rating is a firm 10. Visually pleasing and easy to navigate. All parameters and controls are there without cluttering the scene. It was a pleasure to click on those buttons and realize that I had a complete sonic control of this outstanding product.
PRICE FACTOR : There is nothing, and take my word for it, nothing that could compete with this product out there. I have a big collection of vst plugins which can produce sounds for ambient, pads and all that stuff but frankly speaking they cannot hold a candle to Artvera's Pyrite when it comes to sound manipulation and that extra heavenly something that all musicians always dream of, the holy grail of pads , that is what Pyrite is!
THE SOUNDS : I have always been in love with ethereal sounds, I mean, sounds that evoke spiritual feelings and beauty which goes beyond the realm of just this reality plane. The sounds that have to do with the powers of creation, because this universe was created by using sounds that have special power and never cease to exist. Well, Pyrite is just that, a creator of unbelievable sounds which reach your soul and sometimes I spend hours playing with its sounds and the experience is pure Nirvana. Yes, a firm 10 on the sounds and why not 11, or 12 if we extend the scale. I urge musicians to experiment with the sounds of Pyrite to see what I mean, you will be taken away to places you have never been before!
Pyrite is one of the very few vst plugins which inspires the god-like nature of the original man created by a Supreme Being.
CUSTOMER SERVICE : Artvera loves its customers and the biggest proof is the lovely demo version which you can play without being bothered by screens or strange sound artifacts. A firm 10!
FINAL THOUGHTS : My dear musicians and all those skeptical fellas out there, this is from the bottom of my heart, music is the only thing that can produce change in the universe, the change that means love and understanding, no matter what our differences are. One of the products that carries that message is Pyrite.

We adore your new product Artvera! Love is not enough to describe what I felt the first time I heard your Pyrite plugin. I am the very first person who bought this product on this planet. I expected a wonderful product and I got a spectacular sound vst which kept me awaken for hours. Thank you Artvera for making our dreams come true.

Ok, thanks for the reply and thanks for releasing a free version - it really is a wonderful tool for creating interesting background textures. I make fairly dark techno and I often use atmospheric drones that sit low in the mix - Green Oak Crystal is the only other synth I like for this purpose.

Love your synths.
Any plans for making 64 bit ones?

:hihi: well, knobs and sliders in Pyrite are made of a mineral pyrite :)

Here an small description from wikipedia what pyrite is - quote:

Pyrite is a mineral belonging to the pyrite group. Pyrite is a very common mineral found in many different formations of rock. Since pyrite has a similar color to gold, so many in the past have confused it with being gold and now the most common name of pyrite is fool's gold. Pyrite is easily distinguishable from gold because gold can be scratched with a fingernail, whereas pyrite is much harder and will not be scratched. Also, pyrite is much lighter than gold. Pyrite got its name from the Greek word "pyr", which means fire. The reason pyrite got its name from this Greek word is because when pyrite is stricken against metal it sparks. Pyrite contains mostly Iron and Sulfur, but it may contain other elements such as cobalt, nickel, lead, gold, and arsenic, but these other elements are only in small amounts.

...end of quote..

I wanted that my synths can produce also metal and sparkling sounds by use of the feature Drone, was solid and stable like a rock, had some relation to ancient Greece because it has the core from Golden Aset, and make a nice GUI because the mineral pyrite is suitable for making of ornamental solitaires

I need also 64-bit modules to make 64-bit plugin. Unfortunately many developers of modules for Synthedit stopped their work and their modules are only 32-bit. For example David Haupt (Pyrite uses some his modules) offers only 32-bit modules :(
If sometime I would make 64-bit plugin, I could use only native modules and it would be totally new plugin.
