Undeniable fetish appeal. Marvelous for those to whom 95 to 99% emulation just doesn't hack it.

I'm not good enough to need better than 95 to 99%. :-D But for those who can swing it, this does look to be a marvel.

My view:

It's an awesome sound. I don't get why people don't like it... it's underrated. Anyway, I feel that soft-synths are better at the 303 thing than a real 303 anyway

Don't do it mate. not only can you get 303 plug-ins that sound real, but many of them are free. It would be undenialbly fun to toy with though.

I'm surprised they still fetch that kind of price... I haven't heard much music in the past few years that have used 303s

I found a chrome car badge for my old 202 from an old Holden (that's Vauxhall in English) 202. Picked it up for a couple of bucks to stick on the MC202. Don't know if they ever made a Holden 303? If I find one, I'll put it up for auction as a 303 add-on ...starting price $250.

There's bound to be a big enough mug out there.
