Seasonal savings on Ozone 6 - Upgrade and save through December 31!

Here we go again. 'Tis the season for spam...

Does anyone who bought, the.. "upgrade".. have any new info on any updates they might have done? Don't suppose they actually fixed anything important since the release.. like, maybe adding back a few things they took out?

From Standard to Standard - Yes, get more advanced features and can still use v5.
From Advanced to Advanced - I'd pass if I could do it all over again.

It should be worth upgrading, even if I think the idea of mass herding users to pro by crippling the presets is not exactly user friendly. Whoever gave a 10/10 as a review for this should not take payola.

Like what? (not being cheeky, but I only see things missing besides the new standalone app)

I'm a sucker for upgrades but they're doing a better good job than anyone else to save my wallet.

Yes, the only reason I will upgrade just now is that maybe Ozone 5 might stop working in future and Ozone 6 is the only one that has bug fixes. Otherwise Ozone 6 standard feature set is inferior to standard 5. This is the first time I might tell others to look around for other mastering/plugin solutions if they purchase something from zero.

.... And actually I will start building maybe my own new mastering system using Satin/PSP VintageWarmer and other elements in case Ozone 7 will be even worse.

Check out the IK T-Racks group buy 5 for 1 going on now. Lots of great options in there.

In addition to IK EQs and comps, there's Cytomic's the Glue, FabFilter (Pro-Q, MB, and L), and PSP (Xenon). Voxengo is also worth checking out; Elephant is one of my top three limiters. Of course, DMG's EQuilibrium too. They each make it into my mastering chain depending on what I'm hearing.

There are so many other good options.

Izotope has just sent out surveys via email regarding Ozone 6 complaints/dissatisfaction and new features request. I hope everyone who was dissatisfied and angry with Ozone 6 take the survey. The survey may be a good sign. I took the survey myself cause it is important to let Izotope know exactly how their customer base feels and thinks. You get a 15% discount off anything in their webstore for taking the survey as well. I personally don't care about the discount cause I won't buy Ozone 6 Advanced upgrade or any other product of theirs again from them until they change the concept of their plugins back to what they use to be or close to. It's atleast good to see Izotope attempting to further inquire with this survey.

If they impliment all of the features they ask you to rank in the survey I would upgrade....

I hope they do the same with Iris 2 - this should be one of the most original synths available if they would just listen to what the users want (spectral tools, spectral mapping etc)

If they were planning to fix Ozone 6 they wouldn't have bothered with a survey. The survey is just a tool to justify their epic failure. I filled it out. I gave them lengthy, reasonable feedback. I'm pretty sure they will ignore it.
