I'll cut to the chase; I have a PolyEvolver that is sequenced by my Logic DAW through my AxiomProUSB keyboard. The audio input is through my Steinberg MR816x.
If I wanted ROCK SOLID TIMING where my PolyEvolver could be as close as possible to beat within Logic, what ES solutions would work best? The MR816x has both an ADAT and SPDIF in the back.
- Is there a product that would generate a genuine MIDI signal input to my POLY?
- If not, do I have to use a CV converter and then somehow get it to work with the POLY?
I want to trigger notes in my Poly...at least for now. I can also write automation within Logic Hyperdraw that does to filter openings and whatnot within the Poly through the midi.
Thank you for your help

You have a number of options, all of which will generate MIDI:
- an ES-3 & ES-5, plus EITHER the MIDI adaptor cables OR an ESX-8MD
- an ES-40, plus EITHER an ESX-8GT & the MIDI adaptor cables OR an ESX-8MD
- the forthcoming USAMO
