HIVE - What a perfect start in a new year

I played around with Hive the last days and I am very impressed about its sound and possibilities. Especialy the things you can do with modulations are great. With this synth I can use velocity and aftertouch to control nearly every existing paramter.

This month will be epic, I am sure!

Fantastic! As soon as U-he released the beta a few weeks ago I was hoping the OSC would pick up on it. I've been using Hive for the past few weeks and I suspect the quality (and quantity) of the submissions is going to be very high this month. I'm looking forward to being able to participate again! I will skip this month. Had a quick tryout. Sure it's a great synth.

Without buying the plugin after beta expiration editing the track will be almost impossible. Demo mode seems to make noises, other limitations would be ok. Makes no sense for me to create a track under this circumstances.

It expires Jan 31st, so the comp would be over by the time it expires...? Haven't had any issues with demo mode myself besides typical beta bugs.

Super excited to get into another u-he synth... haven't tried perc or bass sounds but I've already made a few medleys with it.

I guess MTLE prefers being able to edit and continue work on OSC tracks even after the actual round is over.
Like working in march on a january track. That wouldn't be possible with this particular synth (unless you buy it of course).

Even though i'm very happy to see a high quality synth like hive in OSC, i would also regard this is a drawback..but well, i'd personally rather trade quality for long-term availability.. and who knows, incase you really fall in love with hive, obtaining a licence could still be an option.
