Hi everybody,
just entered the forum, and want to post a (hopefully not too silly) question about automatically matching audio levels ...
I'm wondering, if there is a any plugin available, that is capable of bringing incoming audio to a defined output level. I'd like to define the output level of this plug and it would bring up/ push down its input level accordingly.
So for example the plug should be able to take in the audio signal at -20dBFS and brings it up to -18dBFs then had it over to another plug (e.g. an EQ, which does something to the audio level) and after that the automatic leveling plug takes over again and brings the (however) changed signal back (up/down) to a defined level.
The idea certainly is to mitigate the problem, that some plugins aren't capable of leveling in/out signal levels at all or well enough.
Is there any plugin that can achieve that.
Thanks,
Rene

MeterPlugs perception can do this although it is meant more as a tool to aid mixing

Great tip, never saw this before, although I knew MeterPlugs other products (great stuff btw).
It's not exactly what I was looking for but it could do the job, as well. Basically it's doing, what I so far did using two insances of a loudness meter (e.g. ToneBoosters is perfect for me) but Perception could at least speed up the process. The only thing that (so far) keeps me from buying it right away is the price tag ...
Thanks, again for the good tip!
