Free Xfer Serum Wavetables: BassTables Vol. 2

Happy New Years, everyone! After lots of hard work, I've got a late present for you all!

Like my previous pack, these are wavetables directed at Dubstep and other bass-oriented music. Included are 40 more wavetables of squelchy, gritty, vocal textures that are free to use in any of your productions. Add it to your Tables folder, or combine it with the original BassTables.

Also included are 3 bonus "Mandatory" tables which no well-respected wub-maker should leave home without.

You are welcome! I don't know about "mind-blowing" lol, but I'm glad you like them. I'll post here the same thing I did on the Xfer forums.

I make these using only Serum inside Reaper. Sound set to 44.1k, 24-bit wav. I map all of the paramaters I'm morphing to one macro and automate a sweep over 2 measures, leaving 1/8 of a measure flat-lined on either end (so I get accurate first/last frames for the table).

It's important to make sure the patches have no phase randomness on, or you'll get a different sound each time you play a note. I'll adjust the phase of each oscillator to taste before bouncing.

I test the tables before bouncing the sweep at E0 (for Serum. On Reaper's piano roll it's E1... still haven't figured that out), which ends up being 1070 samples. Import the bounced audio at E0, 1070 samples.

I trim the extra frames from either end in the wavetable editor, usually 10 from the front (left side) and 5 from the back (right side), which normally leaves me with ~149 frames. I then normalize the table, X-Fade Edges (16 samples) and Morph, usually using Spectral - Zero Fundamental Phase.

If I like the result, it goes in BassTables!
