Agreed.

Z, can't wait to hear what you're cooking in the audio-kitchen.

I'm blown away by all these percussion / drum sounds, just wow :o :o :o :tu:

If any of you guys write a dedicated How To / Tutorial - that would be epic - and I'll post it to OP and OSC tutorial section.

Right now it's just horribly burned frozen fish sticks.

Oops I already started without checking the presets, just heard them today and i'm impressed! The percussion wow!
Also the songs posted so far are awesome ;)
I'll be sure to send some presets tonight/tommorrow (even if i bail out on entering OSC again i will share goodies!)

Here's my entry for OSC 71 -- titled "The Hive Song".' I really enjoyed using Hive -- super easy to make new sounds, very low CPU. And it sounds great.
30 instance of Hive -- all original patches except for the Toms (thanks to Jasinski for those).
Logic X EQ, reverbs, compressors and Adaptive Limiter.
This track is a little longer than my usual OSC entry, but it was so much fun to make new sounds that my arrangement got slightly complicated with lots of builds.

Enjoy!

I'm having so much fun porting Diva presets that I think I'm gonna forget to make a song with them :(

Post

My song is going well and love the presets you all have designed. I have tweeked most of them that I am using, so some of them don't sound the same really, but my song is turning out great so far (if I do say so myself -haha)

I just keep wanting to add more and more parts to it, so I will have to calm down and just say "Ok... it'd finished" at some point. Hopefully in a couple more days it will be all set. :)

Thanks George :)

Are some (or all) of those going to be factory presets?

Post

As far as I'm aware, yes, all will be factory ;)

I keep running into this.....I load Hive into a track. It asks for serial in order to eliminate the noise. I use the beta tester serial. All is good. Next track I have to re enter serial and so on. Close project and reopen....have to re enter serials all over again.

Anyone else seen this? How do I get around it?

Sounds like a permissions issue.

If you're in Garageband, find out how to lower security settings for sandboxed Audio Units. If you're on Mac generally, run the installer again.

If you're on Windows, make sure the directory Hive.data is in is writable:

If non of this helps - what date is your system set to?

Cheers,
