Native Instruments and Receptor 1

I have Receptor rev. c with Komplete and I was hoping to update the NI plugins. NI provides me with all the recent updates, but they fail to install on the Receptor. I am beginning to get the impression (from the scant information I can find on the subject online) that my receptor will not run these updates. Is this correct? Why is there no information to be found on this subject? If they won't run, can someone explain why?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hello,
Unfortunately your model of Receptor may not be compatible with all the latest NI Plugins. Komplete 8/9 is only compatible with a Receptor 2 and up. Komplete 10 is still being worked on for the Receptor. Due to the age of the hardware and software of your Receptor it may not be possible to install some of the newer NI Plugins and updates.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

A Receptor 1 is capable of going to software version 1.9. You can find the updates via museresearch.com. Komplete 5 I believe was the last version of Komplete supported by the Receptor 1. The latest Receptors are capable of supporting Komplete 9 and we are continually working on support for Komplete 10. If you are ever interested in upgrading your Receptor there is a trade-in program for Receptor 1s.
All the best,

Having dug around a little more, I see that this is an issue that has been raised previously. It seems that OS 1.9 will not work on Receptor 1, and in fact there have been appeals to Muse to make the upgrade process simpler and less expensive. Also, it seems that there are DIY solutions. I list the following for anyone interested:

Unfortunately, it appears as if support for Receptor 1 is now minimal, and the hardware/software is rapidly becoming obsolete. For myself, next time I'll probably just buy a laptop.

You are correct about the OS! In the past some Rev C models had their hardware updated to support 1.9 and it slipped my mind that the operating system normally only goes to 1.7.ludi wrote:Having dug around a little more, I see that this is an issue that has been raised previously.
