George, I'd love to get some presets in the factory set- how did you go about doing that?GeorgeZ wrote:As far as I'm aware, yes, all will be factory

The u-he patchlib guy is watching the Hive thread stickied in the u-he forum and probably this one as well, and has been collecting patches. I assume everything we post will end up in the "factory" library unless we ask not to because why the hell not.

We had more than 20 sound designers offering their services. Out of those we picked 7. GeorgeZ is one of themjasinski wrote:George, I'd love to get some presets in the factory set- how did you go about doing that?GeorgeZ wrote:As far as I'm aware, yes, all will be factory

Yeah, bmrzycki runs the Patchlib and posts things there.dumbledog wrote:The u-he patchlib guy is watching the Hive thread stickied in the u-he forum and probably this one as well, and has been collecting patches. We won't automatically add all those sounds to the factory lib though.

Here is my entry.
12 instances of Hive, with DAW EQ, free DXReverbLite on 2 sends (one set to a short reverb, the other set to a long reverb), and I used panning and levels automation. Also used the free Limiter6 on the master, no other compressors on the separate tracks were used.
Sonar X3 Producer for the DAW.

I found the Windows installer set the folders to readonly, so until you set them to read/write it won't save things.Urs wrote:Sounds like a permissions issue.Rcl wrote:I keep running into this.....I load Hive into a track. It asks for serial in order to eliminate the noise. I use the beta tester serial. All is good. Next track I have to re enter serial and so on. Close project and reopen....have to re enter serials all over again.
Anyone else seen this? How do I get around it?
If you're on Windows, make sure the directory Hive.data is in is writable:

Sure. Don't know what keys you meant exactly, so I put everything in the zip.mysticvibes wrote: Nice keysCare to share the presets?
I don't really know how to professionally name sound patches so I named them after what they do in my song
And I just played through all of them on their own for the first time and noticed that i find them quite bland on their own but somehow they worked in context. I'd be a pretty bad choice for that "First Patch" sound

Much appreciated fese. They sounded very good in the song. I plan on tweaking them quite a bit and hopefully including them in the track I'm using. I'm still learning how to program keys, so this kickstarter is much appreciated as a starting off point
Cheers

Hey, if you finished learning, please tell me, i don't really know either, my sound design is often more like "let's try this and see how it works out..."mysticvibes wrote:Much appreciated fese.
