Well, who says the back panel is vertical? Maybe it is angled...
Like on the old Jupiter:

But does that really matter? 8)

Unfortunately the download is huge because of the samples, so I probably won't demo it...

That's what I thought too ... perspective is weird.

i realize im being critical but its obvious the artist is going for a hardware look im just saying that angle panels can't psychically exist due to the way a round cable is shaped. only way it could exist was if, the angled panel had a vertical connection piece that extruded from the angled side and which is not the case with this gui. anyway im nitpicking.

i gotcha, thats true, if the actual midi cables went in at an angle, that would work. tbh i never heard of a synth that was designed like that, but, yes, then the perspective is correct.

The "fake" 3D perspective is kind of cool the first couple of times the plug is loaded, but soon gets tiring on the eyes.

Would appreciate a 2D mode like this:

that would look great.

One cool feature is that one can specify for almost any parameter whether or not it is to be included in the randomize feature, i.e. it is not all or nothing.

I wonder if it can load patches from the two previous versions...

Sorry but this strange perspective (worked in the 90s? maybe) is a waste of screenspace and GUI imo. Sound is excellent!

PS. I'm afraid no 64bit available.

fluffy_little_something wrote:Why would he do that? Synth bundles make little sense because most people end up using only one or two synths anyway. And for the developer it is not worth it because he tend to lose money. You seem to use only his free stuff, would you pay 150 or 200 bucks for a bundle? 8)
Have you ever bought a bundle? IF so why? Obviously it is up to the marketer selling his product to be creative and properly promote his offering and sell to maximize profits. To do this it makes sense to copy the business model that has the most success and to me it is the one that involves selling a bundle of products. I will not buy his individual synths but if I saw a good price on a bundle I might consider buying that simply because of the perceived extra value. Native Instruments, Korg, Arturia, Rob Papen, Image Line, and many others all sell their products at bargain prices when the client orders a bundle of multiple products. Why are they doing this if it loses them money? With so many large successful companies using bundling to market their products it is kind of a proven methodology and nobody can argue that it is a bad business model and win such an argument. It makes them more money and does not lose them anything and as a consumer I prefer to buy a bundle instead of the individual product.

I own a bundle of synths that I purchased and if the developer wants to earn my business he needs to 1. build a product that appeals to me more than the other products on the market I would probably buy ahead of his product or 2. he can out compete the better products by selling at a lower price point. IMHO This guys product is overpriced for what you pay for it and if I were to consider his product seriously I would have to get it at a lot less $$$ or as a bundle at a special price. I like his free products but I got synthmaster for about what he sells his products for and to me that product completely blows his product out of the water and he wants me to pay as much for his far inferior product as I did for synthmaster.

LOL that makes no sense at all.

You sell a product like he has it priced and lets say he sells a few hundred but lets consider what he might sell if his price was half or less what it is. Then he might sell thousands. Heck he might sell tens of thousands of units if he would lower his price and then his profit would be tens if not hundreds of $$$$ more.

Look at the guys who sell apps and how much money they make selling a $10 to $5 product. Pricing mistakes abound in the software marketing world. His pricing mistakes have led to people passing his product by for more reasonable priced products and losing out on a ton of business and now its probably to late for him to fix his mistake since his stuff is mostly very old now. If I were him I would say buy 2 synths get all my synths. That offer would make him a great deal of money and expose his work to many more creating a word of mouth marketing explosion to help him sell even more.

There are creative ways he could market his synths that I see others using that would explode his sales but this guy is obviously not a marketer who cares about making money or he would do things a lot differently.

Yes, I have one bundle, the complete Superwave one. But I bought a couple of individual plugins first, and after a while their prices added up to more than the bundle price, so he gave me the entire bundle, which was not planned, though.
And I only use three of that dozen or so plugins.

I agree that TubeOhm stuff is not exactly cheap, but at least it is good.

The only thing that I don't like about it is that he doesn't allow license transfers. Sure, I could simple sell mine without his blessing/permission, but I don't want to do that since he is a small developer.

Hi sorry that you don't like the 3D Gui, but this is my way to prog synths. I like synths that looks like real instruments - and not like
software. Ok it is only a picture , but this gives the instrument a face , and make it unique.

This means, ok if i build Bruno in hardware , he should look like this.
Hope the GUI is much better than my others. Next we will have a real hybrid digital/analoge synth .
And this in real >>> TubeOhm hardware !

Do you like the sounds ??

REAL SOUND

Demo'ed the sound over the weekend. Sound is pretty good and fun to program. Any thought on Intro price ?

Post

Just started making some patches using the random features. Very nice.
When finished I will post a bank. I like the graphics, real instrument feel works for me.

Post

Since the number of parameters is quite high, an Init patch would make sense.
The interface looks fine to me, though, I also like that hardware feel :)

Post

Interface is fine to me i actually like it, sound is really nice.

Overall i think it's a great synth. If someone don't like GUI just don't buy it, plenty of other alternatives..
