Sh*t. I knew I should've sold my license a couple weeks ago. Not really surprised, though. I also feel bad for all of those thousands of people that bought licenses just a few months ago just finding out that they are screwed. Hopefully someone purchases the rights.

Guess this is why there were no gift camel credits at the end of 2014..

I was looking forward to the next CamelSpace too. That plugin is so handy and no one else offers anything quite like it.

Backup your stuff...

"Until July 7th 2015, your Camel Audio purchases will continue to be available for download from your account, either via the Camel Audio website, or via the installer. After July 7th 2015, the files will no longer be accessible from our site, and so you will need to have downloaded and backed up your files beforehand, as well as the Camel Audio Installer application..."

Make sure you follow the instructions here:

http://www.camelaudio.com/faqs/User_Acc ... y_Products

Tip: Make sure to also backup (in a text file) your username and password to log in to the Camel Audio Installer application. This is the same info that you use to log in to the Camel Audio web site. If you forget either your username or password, you will not be able to do "remind username" or "remind password" and you will be screwed.

Can it really be because of pirates. This day in age there are ways to make them un-piratable no? Uhe, Synapse, Ilok. They should use those methods before closing shop!!!

Chill out. The only available Camel Audio software for pirates is super outdated copies of their plugins. Once they changed over to a watermark form of DRM, piracy was no longer an option for the plugins. Pretty sure they switched over a real long time ago too.

Anyways, this has me upset. I always wanted to pick up Alchemy but was somewhat waiting for Alchemy 2 since I already have way more f**king plugins than I honestly need. I wonder the reason.
No. I will not chill out. I stand by my thoughts on the subject. Whatever caused this, and I suspect it's piracy; is hideous, and I am angry, and sad about it.

I think Alchemy was the first or second softsynth I bought, and the first one I "fell in love with." I suppose it will always be something kind of special in my memory.

How do you know piracy was no longer an option when the leeches share every form of "soft" property as if it didn't take someone years of work to put together. There's a soulless, disgusting rot in our society, a lack of respect that goes beyond evolution or economics.

Pirates are parasites.

Glad it at least has you upset, and you share respect for Camel Audio's work. I intend no enmity or discord with you my friend.

Merely venting my anger and frustration with whatever has led to Camel Audio's decision. Can't see how it could be anything other than theft and lack of supporting profit which has led them to this course.

Will be interesting to read what they have to say about this turn of events..

I wonder how long they've known and just been playing along like nothing is changing..

I mean I wonder if they knew this time last year when Alchemy was on sale for 124 USD (half off)? or if this was a sudden turn of events.. seems strange since they were handling support issues about trial versions on their support forum on the 6th like nothing is changing.. then this 'suddenly.'

At least they are giving us a chance to download and backup everything. I remember a company or two going out of business in the past that left people out in the cold.

But yeah I am SHOCKED they are going out of business. Not just saying this, Alchemy is my favorite synth along with Omnisphere. I don't feel ripped off at all either. I will continue to use it for a very long time. Just so sad unless they are being bought out and the products will continue to evolve.

I actually feel sorry for those who did not buy it and will miss out on this great synth if things stay like this.

Divorce settlement. Ok I really don't know. Nor can I imagine this decision came lightly.

This is really terrible news.

We are not owed an explanation, but it would be nice to know.

And how do we get our keyfiles (which I don't specifically remember but they must be somewhere) as I do not see them on the website?

Yep, Alchemy is really something special. I am extremely glad I purchased it just a few months ago but it does really suck for those on the fence or who have yet to discover it.

Sales of VAZ Synths products have been suspended in order to comply with the change in UK/EU cross-border VAT regulations effective 1st January 2015.

Same thing perhaps?

My original purchase email stated that the keyfile / serial number was available from: http://www.camelaudio.com/support.php
