Yeah, they seemed like they really loved what they were doing and were nice friendly folks. I still can't believe this to be true!!! What's going on camel audio?

I actually feel sorry for those who did not buy it and will miss out on this great synth if things stay like this.
That's why I do not understand not providing a heads up. If they said after such and such a date sales would cease they could get all the fence sitters out there to buy product. Do they not need the money in any event???

It almost sounds like the actions of a company that got a legal "cease and desist" threat. If they had been bought out usually there is a joint press release to inform existing and potential users of product/support continuity and who the new entity will be to continue sales/support. And if it was a tax issue why not say so?

But just to go dark without an explanation is very strange. I have to think the user base is fairly substantial after almost 15 years and do not deserve to have the floor pulled out from underneath them. Their Facebook page is still up so why wouldn't they echo the closure info there as well. It all seems so rash and ad hoc.

And Alchemy 2 was literally on the verge of release. I know someone who knew how close they were and were developing sound sets for it. Does all that development go down the drain? Pity if it does. Alchemy and Camel Space are the two products I own and they are damn good.

Keyfiles- now embedded in Presets/Samples files. The main plugin does not require keyfile. Whew.

Still bad news...

Damn, this is terrible news. Nothing matched Alchemy in some areas even today. Really sad news.

Dang, I wanted to pick up CamelSpace sometime.

I bought Alchemy on sale years ago, but I've only really figured it out in the last 2-3 months. I highly recommend the Galbanum Architecture waveforms for (25,000) more VA OSC & LFO options.

Camel Audio seems like the exact type of company that would be affected most by this...

Sure, the governments of Europe make everything better & more valuable. In order to do that, they invented the VAT program. Now everything is just better.

So... in other words... say goodbye to buying anything from Europe in the foreseeable future?

But then, sensibility is not what one would expect from a part of the world that recently outlawed incandescent light bulbs. Is anyone among the citizenry actually paying attention to what your governments are doing over there? Anyone at all?
