This is a real shame .. I hope they return in some form. I love their plugins.. and have eagerly been awaiting new products.

Makes me wish I'd bought more Alchemy libraries... there are still ones I'd like to have.

What is really scary is, no X vs Y threads?

Where are the X vs Alchemy or Alchemy vs Y thread ?

Should I get Spire instead of Alchemy, or maybe Sylenth ?

Why do I think that piracy is NOT an issue?

If these guys stay within character, they would not drop a loyal paying fan-base no matter how many pirates there are. We (the payors) did nothing to cause this issue, not to mention we have lined their pocketbooks to keep them going this long. Who in their right mind would abandon the innocent (notice I said "in their right mind)?

Could the new VAT be an issue?

It COULD be, but that seems unlikely for a company that seems as organized as CA, no matter how many people are a part of it.

Personal issues?

Possibly but it seems likely given the character of CA, that this would have been disclosed even if the statement was "for personal reasons...".

Could it be a knee-jerk reaction to one of the three above?

Yes, but that would be uncharacteristic of CA. But it is possible. In doing so, it would scar a nearly flawless reputation of a great company.

Again, we are not owed an explanation. I will speculate later on Alchemy 2 since it will add to the page growth of this thread and the outrage of our dramatic community!
