I just wish that they would have had some sort of fire sale on the sound libraries maybe? Then those who have a license for Alchemy could take advantage of upgrading it to Alchemy Complete.

This is very sad. Never got on the CA wagon, but I'd admired it from afar. This seems like a real loss to everyone involved :(

Only it's not true. Latest cracked was 1.25 and years old (little google research i'm not an insider). Also many banks never were available for the crackheads.

Whatever the reason was, imo it's not that.

were that the case there would not be such silence on the issue.

one of those nonsense comments a good topic should have.
their products were for almost 2+ years not cracked again or anything else.

i think the whole situation is there because the new VAT laws, maybe CA will be rebranded and location changed to outside of the EU to bypass the VAT bullshit?
--------------------
well i hope there will be a solution - i am really sad, i bought Alchemy in 2013, but lucky as i was i havnt bought more for my alchemy.

nevermind thanks to the Camel Audio team for their work.

It isn't the VAT rules, even a small company can fairly easily conform with them, it all depends on how many sales outside of your own country you are making, whether it's worth the time and money. I am sure Camel Audio had plenty of sales coming from outside their country, and would have had no problems dealing with the new law.

Since we're playing the speculation game I'll play along. I'm sure this must have been speculated at least a few times already but if there is a buy out IK Multimedia might be a likely suspect. They certainly have the resources and the fit might be good given the iOS apps and the fact that IK doesn't have a synth like Alchemy. I'd have mixed emotions if that did happen but it might benefit all concerned.....even the end user. Or it could be a complete circle f*ck.....who knows....that's my love/hate relationship with IK.
