Sorry for the response delay, Urs. Internet has been down.Urs wrote:Sounds like a permissions issue.Rcl wrote:I keep running into this.....I load Hive into a track. It asks for serial in order to eliminate the noise. I use the beta tester serial. All is good. Next track I have to re enter serial and so on. Close project and reopen....have to re enter serials all over again.
Anyone else seen this? How do I get around it?
If you're in Garageband, find out how to lower security settings for sandboxed Audio Units. If you're on Mac generally, run the installer again.
If you're on Windows, make sure the directory Hive.data is in is writable:

If non of this helps - what date is your system set to?
Cheers,
- Urs
I am using Reaper on Win 7 with bootcamp. My system date is accurate. I will try and run the installer as admin.
Thanks for the reply. I can say I am thoroughly impressed with ALL of your synths....great work.

Thank you.doctorbob wrote:I found the Windows installer set the folders to readonly, so until you set them to read/write it won't save things.Urs wrote:Sounds like a permissions issue.Rcl wrote:I keep running into this.....I load Hive into a track. The AJ Kicks are wonderful. I fiddled with trying to make my own for like half an hour and got nowhere near as good as his. Thanks for helping give me a chance at this AJ.

I'm somewhat confused by the statement of "Any type of modulation effect like chorus, phaser, flanger etc is not allowed." I just want to make sure that using a sidechain compressor built-in to the DAW that only adjusts volume is OK to use.

Yes, sidechain compressor is fine. Modulation refers specifically to chorus, flanger, phaser style effects external to the synth.Erkenfresh wrote:I'm somewhat confused by the statement of "Any type of modulation effect like chorus, phaser, flanger etc is not allowed." Also, great news on the sidechain compress. That saves a lot of headaches!

Just want to echo this. Thanks AJ, those perc patches are great. If you don't mind I will use a few of them with some minor tweaks in my submission this month.Erkenfresh wrote:The AJ Kicks are wonderful.
Looking to make some good "wooden sounding" shakers rather than metallic ones as well as a guiro sound (not easy), but I'm working on it!!
Cheers,
