But if seriously, don't care. Most importantly, thanks to fate that happened to get such a wonderful synth - this could would not happen, and that it quite stable work and midilearn. Now let them CA do what they want. The only slightly disappointing that the libraries did not have time to buy, well not critically.

For sure i will not update my OS in the near future. There is nothing compared to Alchemy, especially in terms of modulation. I never (or mostly) ran out of LFO and envelopes. Most other synths lacks here (strange that only an iPad synth can top this).
Maybe the coming Nave VST/AU can get me down again... then there is Sunrizer (also a famous iPad synth with one of the smallest but best arp editors included...at least for me) which seems to start soon as AU. So there is nothing but looking forward. The world just need another great hybrid like Alchemy 2 could be and 1.55 still is. So i still hope for sample import in Omnisphere 2 too. Mmhhh.... but i hope also Spectrasonics is still alive. I heard they had something great for 2014. Now it's 2015! At least they posting still in twitter sometimes. Why can't be the damn NAMM tomorrow
Indeed, the official soundcloud group from Alchemy and Alchemy mobile is still there...

Fortunately we have other great hybrid tools like MachFive and HALion 5, but they don't do additive or spectral resynthesis (yet), although M5 does resynthesize, but only generates single cycles doing so.

What I would miss the most though from those is the morphing - the only 2 plugins with really great morphing capabilities, Alchemy and Kore 2 - are both now gone.

My Alchemy isn't gone.aMUSEd wrote:What I would miss the most though from those is the morphing - the only 2 plugins with really great morphing capabilities, Alchemy and Kore 2 - are both now gone.
It's not available for sale if you don't already have it, but it's not "gone"...

Neither is Kore in that sense, but as many people have stated no further support or development means they have a limited shelf life and no prospect of a version 2 either.beely wrote:My Alchemy isn't gone.aMUSEd wrote:What I would miss the most though from those is the morphing - the only 2 plugins with really great morphing capabilities, Alchemy and Kore 2 - are both now gone.

Indeed, and it's a shame... must've been a really hard decision for the Camels - after all they've been working on Alchemy 2 for a good three years now...aMUSEd wrote:Neither is Kore in that sense, but as many people have stated no further support or development means they have a limited shelf life and no prospect of a version 2 either.

Ah...if i could import my samples into Zebra 2 all my dreams came true. I have an interesting tiny iOS synth where i can use up to 32 sound sources/samples for one patch. It can't sadly interpolate just blend between them but this it can do it in any way i could imagine and it let me use infinite modulation if i want.
Could tell me someone if there is anything like that in the desktop world. I really need such stuff for sound design. Since i'm still new in the desktop world and had big hopes for Alchemy 2 in terms of sample manipulation, blending and morphing i think my search will start new...

theres nothing to say it wont come out in some fashion - perhaps it could be the primary reason for them being bought out?beely wrote: must've been a really hard decision for the Camels - after all they've been working on Alchemy 2 for a good three years now...

They should change that page so it says no longer available for purchase.
