Never bothered to before (dunno why), but this thread makes me want to give Alchemy a try.
Hope it's not Apple but another company, if this is what's happening.

It reminds me of the Yellow Tools Independence. They went out of business and closed forums, after that Magix bought Independence. IIRC existing customers were able to get support from Magix.

It can't sadly interpolate just blend between them but this it can do it in any way i could imagine and it let me use infinite modulation if i want.
Could tell me someone if there is anything like that in the desktop world. I really need such stuff for sound design. Since i'm still new in the desktop world and had big hopes for Alchemy 2 in terms of sample manipulation, blending and morphing i think my search will start new...
I think the already mentioned Mach Five and HALion 5 will be be suitable for what you want. Kontakt too. And Lin Plug CRX, and many other samplers or sample based synths available. Be aware there is nothing in the mobile world that you can't find (with much more power) in the desktop world. Maybe not exactly matching, but similar.

So how long should wait for some big reveal that they were purchased before we just accept that the company actually just went under?

Till July 7th probably

Nah. I'm giving them until noon today before I'm calling the FBI to check local airports for anyone trying to leave the country with large bags filled with cash.

Mhhh.... yes it's true but f.e. things like Animoog are not there. And for 10 bucks such tools is another story. Sure the sound output of all these plug ins are far beyond any iOS tool because of that i would like to have these as VST/AU and control them via my iPad instead of recording them via an iconnect midi or so into my DAW. Maybe one day some smart developers can combine this in a better way...... and since Apple destroyed iOS it would be the worst company to buyout Camel Audio.

Don't worry, Apple isn't interested in purchasing random failed VST makers, irregardless of the bizarre hallucinations of KVR posters.

I see frequently some people say it would be "bad" if they were bought out by Apple because then it would mean that going forward Camel Audio stuff would be OSX/au only. But that's not the real reason it would be bad IMO. Apple have bought companies that were already making OSX only applications and what effectively happened was: nothing. No more of that product, no product analogous to it, just a rather simple dead end. Perhaps they are taking a long, long, long time to release some new evolution of the product - or perhaps Apple just have other uses in mind for their code. So it's not the OSX/au only factor I would fret about in an Apple buy out. It would be the dead-end factor.

By the way, is it true they had a sale recently ? if so that is pretty low IMO. Especially when you contrast it with the, if i'm not mistaken, sudden removal of the possibility to transfer licenses. Is that true ? In this scenario at least a user buying a used license would know that support ends on July 7th, whereas no one - but Camel Audio themselves - would have known that during their sale. If indeed both the sale and the removal of transfer support have actually transpired. Reports of censorship on their forum also does not bode well compounded of course by the radio silence from an otherwise communicative developer. And no, the 'Apple must be making them keep silent' thing doesn't wash. When this has happened before, the acquired dev was free to communicate that they were bought out etc.

The only sale was Camel Space and Phat. But this was also for a while. Maybe i missed something.
