considering the ill will such statements could generate, I hope you're right. Because it's absolutely libelous if untrue.

Why would anyone spend the incredible amount of time and talent needed to create one of the most powerful award winning soft synths the world has ever seen then just let it die........or let it be killed by someone else ?

That seems so out of character from what I've experienced from Camel Audio. Of course money can make people do unexpected thing so who knows.

After having a night's sleep and time to reflect on the story am I the only who feels a bit of..."anger"... for lack of a better term from this sudden announcement by CA ? Perhaps I'm reading too much into it but I sense some negative emotions (from CA) attached to the whole story. This too would be out of character from what we've all seen from CA over the years. Time will tell all I suppose but patience is not one of my strong points....but curiosity is... :?

Hogwash! For someone who has been taking the pee out of others on this thread for gross speculation this really takes the biscuit.

I will lay money that its because the product is a highly respected leader in the business that someone somewhere is viewing its IP with great interest and not that somehow its dying before our eyes.

Whether this interest is amicable sadly remains to be seen.

Parts of this thread are starting to read like vultures circling the dead - I think a little respect is due.

I just had a look at the site as it was on 3rd January using the wayback machine and Alchemy was $249, it's regular price. No huge sale.

What were you saying again? Did you see the waybackmachine? Check yourself, fool.

Yes but that page comes from last year. If there is no current snapshot, the wayback machine will use an earlier snapshot - look at the date of the snapshot at the top.

From the December 18th snapshot, Alchemy was standard price - no sale.

That's its standard price. It means 50% off the price of buying everything individually.

That's the regular price for the bundle.

Oh. Well that's convenient.

No, it's correct.

It is absolutely not true. You can check KVR, you can check Rekkerd, you can check any site you want which handles publicity announcmements for this industry, you will find zero evidence of this claim. Camel's last sale related to Alchemy was a 50% sale off sound expansions, in July 2014, and their last sale was 35% off their effects plugins when they announced AAX support in September.

edit : The current attempt to portray the fact that the Alchemy bundle is normally 50% off the cost of the normal total cost of the separate items as a 'sale' should be clue enough.'
